Small bore target rifle. Used to, at least.

Narrowly missed out on qualification for the Commonwealth games a few years back.

Might I ask where? Most people I know who used battle rifles used the L85A2 not the L86A2.

Since when do they use that? I've only ever heard of them using that piece of crap the L98.

Cadet LSWs are just regular LSWs but with their change levers removed and the ports welded shut.

Hmm wasn't aware the cadets used anything bar the L98, then again last time I used a rifle in the cadets they were still using the single shot version

Cadets can use many different rifles. Actually they can use any service rifle given appropriate supervision, but the fancy ones are rare.

That isn't a thing. We have the L98A2 and the L86A2 LSW. The L98A2 is an L85A2 minus the change lever, the parts that making it go auto, a different flash eliminator, and it only comes with the basic handguard and iron sights. The L86A2 LSW is just that. It is the same as the one in use with the Army/Army Reserve, except for the fact that they don't get the fancy new handguards, sights and paint jobs that the ones in use with the Army do. It comes complete with change lever and will happily fire automatic.
