    Hi everyone

I was just wanting to know if anyone can share any advice/experience on studying history gcse as i'm choosing my options soon and consider picking history. Exam board will be AQA.
Also I Want to choose Triple science, spanish and geography so does anyone think it will be too much to take on as loads of people have said so..

    Thanks
Honestly DONT do Geography, unless you want a career involving it. Geography is waaaay too much coursework, you'll probably regret it.

I also did history GCSE with the exam board AQA. The units which I studies were Medicane through time & American West. I doing both the units really interesting, which made revision fun (if you are doing any of these units, I have really amazing revision notes which I can send you)

The way I revised for my history exam was to do one topic per day so that the information does not get mixed up as there is a lot of content to memorise.

I hated my history lessons in school as they were pretty boring however I loved to sit at home and revise by myself.

i LOVE history. gcse history became my favourite subject and made me want to do it at uni (which i will hopefully end up doing). that said, i did ocr and they are changing the curriculum for the new gcses. but i'm sure it'll still be great.

as long as you stay on top of your work and revise hard in the final months all of those subjects should be absolutely fine! i enjoyed all apart from geography (i did it up to year 9 and didn't take it for gcse). i hate it with a passion. all of my friends who did geography complained about it all the time and i'm pretty sure 3/4 of the year chose history over geography. i think it's a whole three exams, too. BUT if you enjoy the subject that's all that matters!

    good luck!
