You'd be surprised how much maths there is in an Econ degree.

You might not have had a choice, but you may have been better off studying stats instead of mechanics - utterly sympathise because mechanics is just icky (to me at least)

It is disappointing but hopefully you find the way forward.

Are these ***** taking the piss?
I got a B In maths and a B In economics, and an E in further maths.
I was declined to study economics because I "don't meet the academic requirements" But why would further maths matter, if I have what I need to know to do the degree, ****ed off. Offer was BBB

I can't do mechanics, and I just didn't do as much as the first year, first year was easier. I got ACC at as, so nearly 100 ums in fp1, just couldn't for the life of me do the more complex mechanics or stats or dynamic programming

to be honist you did not get the required grades but hope is not lost...have you considerd doing a foundation years at the uni that you did not get in to phone them and ask if that is a possibility if not have you considerd a foundation degree and then top up some uni's offer them. Or you could try clearing*

BBE only = CCC if the University measures in UCAS points, which is something a lot of Universities don't do. If they measure in UCAS points, they will ask for the points rather than the grades. I would suggest either retaking or looking in clearing at other Universities with slightly lower entry requirements.
