Are my grades good enough for St Andrews?

University Navigation

Hi! Im applying for history. I'm resitting my A levels however. I applied for maths last year(firm Durham, insurance Newcastle). Needed A*AA, got BBD(B maths, B history, D Further Maths). Started economics this year and will probably be predicted A*(economics), A* maths, and A history. Also have C in AS Physics and C in AS English language. Advice and thoughts would really be appreciated. Thanks

I would love to read English literature at St Andrews but I'm not sure if I would make a strong application and I don't want to waste a university choice. My GCSE grades were sadly A* AAAAAAABBC and I also had a C in AS Spanish (I don't have any other AS' because of the new syllabus) but my predicted grades are A*A*A. Would you say I have a chance?

I am considering also applying to St Andrews Arabc and Persian course.

I got 38 points from IB and I'm currently having a gap year. I study Arabic (I got the nest grade in Arabic uni course I took during the summer), and I do some voluntary work with immigrants. I'm just worried that my PS won't be good enough because I also apply some religious studies courses, so I need to make it good for all the courses..
