Thanks for the help, yeah it's also an encouraging sign for uni that in my A2 exams in English lit and history I got As and Bs so it was my AS that actually let me down anyway. Hopefully I'll get a first or 2:1 at uni and with lots of experience, this will still put me in a great position for whatever field I do want to go into to, despite three Cs at A level. I did ask a teacher too and she was agreeing saying what you were too.
    Thanks
That's because I'm a teacher... We think alike.

In my case, I got ACC. But I think I could get AAB OR ABB if i retake
Would you recommenced going to Leicester university or to retake?
I too plan to go into the finance sector.
    Opinions appreciated, thanks

Leicester is a very respectable university. I'd take it, speaking personally, but if you aren't happy with that, then retake. It has to be what makes you comfortable.

People have advised me getting work experience is the key but I think I will struggle to get work experience and internships because of my poor grades.
Surely my A-Level grades are the only thing they can see when applying for internships because I have very little work experience atm

    Thanks

It sounds like you have made your mind up. You are answering the questions you are worried about in a way which shows clearly what you want to do, so go in that direction. It will make you feel better.

Year out and retake. Bump your A-Level grades up in order to meet the minimum requirements for most big employers, and get yourself into a better uni. Leicester is respectable and can get you through, but that depends on which area of finance you want to go into.

Poor A-Level grades might hinder you, but not from the perspective of "they're poor so we don't want them" but usually the online application system won't let you progress to the next round unless you can tick the box which says you have met their minimum grade requirements. As far as I know, it really doesn't matter what A-Levels you have, just as long as you meet their minimum requirements (for most places this tends to be around ABB).

Thanks for the advice, I think I will be retaking
