It's more because you should never put anything like your date of birth, gender and picture on a CV in the UK. Anti-discrimination laws exist for a reason.

Remember to keep everything to 1 page.

Alright thanks again. When converting to PDF I usually use this website (https://www.freepdfconvert.com/) I'm wondering if that is fine or I should be buying the adobe reader license? Also it would be great if you guys could tell me where to find a template for cover letters suitable for IB too. M&I has this one: http://www.mergersandinquisitions.co...tter-template/

Doesn't really matter, you could use that or use word and save as pdf.

    That template is fine

AS princepieman said, I cannot stress how important it is to keep your CV to one page. The one thing I picked up from my internship in executive search/headhunting is that any longer than a page and you've lost a recruiters attention. Other advise would be to keep as succint as possible and strip out any fluff/preamble/ or general filler. Bullet point everything. Try and make sure that everything is relevant, does what you've written down show when you've succeeded/won or when you've been given responsibility. DO NOT PUT ALL YOUR QUALIFICATIONS FROM GCSE TO A LEVEL ON YOUR CV. This is vital. List the grade range you've got for them and maybe at a push mention achieving Maths and english scores, but giving an individual breakdown of every one is using valuable space and also is normally pointless as applications ask for you to enter in your qualifications seperate
