No it isn't and Dosent achieve much. Things change I get that but if you divorce that's fair enough, however it's so awkward for both of these families and the last thing the op needs is their mums rubbing everything in their face. The parents shouldn't be commended or applauded for this decision is all in saying. They've done what they've felt they needed to do, now they can also absorb criticism and people telling them that the manner they have gone about it is wrong
Where is the commending and applauding?

How will you a child be criticisng and telling them they have done wrong if you have disowned them?

People on this thread and no doubt many supportive liberals who tell them it's okay and that they have done nothing wrong. If the roles were reversed and the father had cheated on the mother with another woman, then there would be an outcry from these very same people and they would demand that the father receivers not a penny from the house/divorce proceedings. Yet somehow because it is an LGBT issue morality and principles of honesty and integrity go out of the window. People need to be consistent in their approach is all I am saying. Also actions speak louder than words. In all likelihood their fling will end and then the end result is 2 families have been wrecked ultimately for a bit of promiscuous fun. As an adult it's unlikely the op will no longer need his mother so it's the perfect chance to dissociate themselves from this farce of a charade

    Point them out.

You are just a fantasist. The idea your solution for when people divorce is to disown them is pathetic. Relationships break down, your advice was terrible. Your the one getting excited because its two women. Blame and cutting yourself off from one of your parents is only going to create bitterness. She is divorcing the father, you have no idea what went on in the marriage, but are prepared to vilify her which is well dumb. My advice would be the same irrespective of the sexuality of the parent. You just seem to think someone is always to blame, which is ridiculous. Stuff happens people get divorced and life moves on, but in your world people get disowned and children cut themselves off from their parents forver.
