Only himself to blame. For a job he's long coveted, he's blown it with two meetings of four hours, at a Wings restaurant downing a pint of wine and admissions he will come to regret. He's had murky dealings in the past which the FA ignored but as that had been long forgotten they hoped he'd leave the job only after a poor tournament exit, not after one game.

Baffled why they've given Southgate the role for four games. They interviewed Bruce who OK, might not be a massive improvement on Sam but he's worth giving it to but FA probably hoping to persuade Wenger again in the summer or Howe(?!) which would be a job too big for him no matter what his potential is.

They didnt have any choice. he was naive , gullible and greedy. Failed to understand the need for integrity. £3m isnt enough? Wonder which manage will manage to turn it round, its one of , if not the highets paid managers jobs.

Telegraph are alleging 8 Premier League managers have been taking bungs. Allardyce seems to be just the start.
Apparently one of them took out an injunction today to stop him from being named.

FA should get someone with a proper winning mentality.

Someone like Larent Blanc would be ideal for this England squad....but as usual they want an english manager which is why england will be forever shite.

Seriously Howe, Pardew, Bruce ? WTF

Honestly....you expect England to win the world cup with managers like that smfh

England won't win the WC at all with the quality of their players in all honesty. The other contenders aren't much worse (if at all) than Allardyce.

I'm not fully sure how strong their evidence, besides the obvious recordings, is. No defence at all for Sam but these agents are firstly, not big name players in the industry (one of them was banned for match-fixing in Italy) so naturally if they are corrupt, they are going to chat hype. It's mentioned bribes were sent to off-shore accounts and if there's evidence for that then that's something that holds up but to be honest, lot of the investigation is something red-tops would do without the hard evidence but using subterfuge and the targets with alcohol in them with a potentially lucrative deal and they sensationalise stories about people without evidence

Yeh I don't think they have any serious evidence for the so called "big names". There are two very obvious ex Premier League managers who stick out but as I don't want to get the site in trouble for libel, I won't name them. I'm sure most people know who I mean anyway.
