I have already started self teaching myself the Further Maths GCSE, and I am using the AQA Further Maths GCSE revision guide and the new spec 9-1 Edexcel Maths complete revision and practice book (Due to the repeated content). The new spec 9-1 book contains 2 practice papers for the exam, which is useful for practicing questions that might be in a Further Maths exam. I also find it useful to watch YouTube videos of people going through the exam questions and attempting the questions on the Further Maths past papers in exam conditions.(Original post by Kwendo)
True most of the Further Maths GCSE is now included in the new spec apart from the topics you mentioned so that might be why many schools no longer offer the course due to repeated content. As you're self-teaching when do you plan start the course and what material will you use as I have the CGP AQA Further Maths GCSE exam practice and revision but that's about it?
For uni I'm planning to study either general engineering, aeronautical engineering or physics as a backup option and regarding your school not offering Statistics GCSE. I doubt that will be an issue for the uni course as a GCSE in Economics or Statistics for instance offers only a very basic introduction to the subject area, so I think a high aptitude in Maths will suffice as the gap will be bridged either by A-Level modules or even at the start of your uni degree course.

Thanks for showing me the entry requirements for the Maths with Statistics at uni.
