It's not necessary that way. It could be opposite.

The fact that the same publication you're referencing posted an article debunking your article here: http://www.independent.co.uk/life-st...-a6945476.html speaks volumes.

The alcohol industry is a huge multi-billion dollar industry. They can fund research and cherry pick the results that suit them. This is reality and happens across all industries.regularly.

I don't have issue with people drinking, I'm fine with it and used to drink plenty myself. What I'm not ok with is people trying to justify bad habits by convincing themselves and others that it's healthy. It is not.

It's the troll Ttingox, but I'll give my two cents.

They don't, however, your holier-than-thou attitude doesn't make you look good either.

That isn't debunking the particular study I linked, that didn't include abstainers giving up drinking due to ill health.

Yes and I'm far from convinced that drinking alcohol has any health benefits beyond possibly being of benefit to mental health, only that an occasional drink isn't unhealthy.

Which is pretty much exactly what you are doing, being a teetotaller doesn't make you any healthier than an occasional drinker, what is unhealthy is that we don't seem to be able to do moderation these days, it's all or nothing.
