    It shouldn't be legal.
    Pornis destructive.
it destroys the minds of it's viewers.
I am a man, you as a woman should be the first to be against porn as it objectifies women.

Show me the evidence and I'll believe you. I'm doing a PhD on this very topic and I've yet to see a single piece of unrefuted evidence to this point. Some articles argue that it is damaging and some that it does no harm at all, so there's no evidence either way. Porn does not necessarily objectify women. I'll agree that some of it does. I'll also suggest that some of it objectifies men. I'll also say that so long as those involved consent to their portrayal and haven't been forced into it, then I don't see that as a problem. You seem to suggest that people who watch porn are just zombies taking in what they're watching. Instead, they are able to critically discern

The porn that doesn't objectify people is also the type most likely to be gone should we introduce something like age verification. They couldn't actually fund the age verification from the profits they currently make in a way that would sustain their business. Again, read the post I linked in my initial response. It contains all of this information in there.

I disagree with things like "porn pop-ups" where it just appears as an extra to a normal website, where the viewer did not consent to seeing it. I disagree with revenge porn. I disagree with unethical porn. I disagree with porn that breaks any other UK law (with the exception of the 2014 AVMSR). But there's no reason why people shouldn't actively be able to freely seek out or create any other pornographic material for whatever reason they so choose.

Your attitude is "I don't like this, so I'm going to stop other people doing it too."

To stop teenagers from being exposed to it.
Shouldn't that be the case with anything that's 18+ and not just porn? Also while at it let's ban anything that's not family friendly because children might see it.

Sarcasm aside, "because these people who are not supposed to see it might get exposed to it" is not a good argument. If we're gonna ban something that's bad for teenagers then let's ban cigarettes and alcohol. A lot of teens smoke and drink and that's a lot worse for their health than watching porn (which probably doesn't do much harm at all).

Again by your gender sign I see you are a woman. I am a man.
You should be more against porn than me, as porn objectifies woman and portrays them as sex dolls.
Some guys watch porn, and then want to try out what they saw on porn on with their girlfriends

Sorry, not a feminazi. I don't care about the whole "objectification" thing, both genders get objectified and the person in the porn film/ad etc agreed to it. It's not your place to tell them what they should or shouldn't do. I don't see women being portrayed as sex dolls in porn, at least no more than men. I also don't see anything wrong with wanting to try out what you saw in porn with your partner. And just a reminder, women watch porn too.

Also, if anything then it's men who should be against porn and not women. Men get payed a lot less in the porn industry.

Nope, beyond obvious prosecution for child porn, bestiality etc. It isn't state's job to parent your kids, if someone doesn't want their kids accessing certain website/ TV shows/ whatever because clearly coddling them in bubble wrap for sake of arbitrary morality is super beneficial for them, there are tools - free and otherwise available for those guardians.

There's nothing in any porn that isn't in lots of people's heads anyway, but there's lots of stuff in people's heads that isn't in porn. Something doesn't even have to be porn for it to objectify woman, that can easily be done anyway. It's useful for getting ideas of things to try to. When I was younger my friend's older brother used to show us stuff sometimes and it didn't turn me into a sex mad slut, a prostitute or anything.

Nope it has better things to do. The only things it should shut down are illegal activities like child porn and bestiality.
Government filtering of the internet is to be discouraged, unless its against illegal acivities or for reasons of national security.
The government doesn not control the internet and most content comes from outside the UK. Iy would be very difficylt to block unless you wnated them to take control of the internet in general.

I never met a woman who watched porn.
99.9% of porn is male audience.

whilst there certainly could be a strong moral case against porn, it is next to impossible to stop. We are biologically programmed to seek sexual release. people would seek it regardless as it is a biological compulsion. All you would do is push it under ground which would be even worse.

Well I don't know what sort of 1950s world you're living in, then! Loads of women watch porn! This 99.9% of porn is [sic.] male audience' statistic sounds like it came from the Daily Express.

It seems sexist to tell someone they should think a certain way because of their gender,

Some girls watch porn and they might try it out with their boyfriends.

The government shouldn't be censoring anything, except child porn or other illegal acts

Yeah and how do you know they don't? I doubt you asked, and if you did then how do you know they told the truth? Also, could you not pull numbers out of your ass and state them as facts? It pisses me of when people do that, and that number doesn't sound realistic in the slightest.

Listen, porm is targeted for males and you cannot deny that.

Thos whole idea of porn in first place is because males are much hornier than females biologically.

Just because it's targeted at men doesn't mean women are not gonna watch it and enjoy it.

Obviously it objectifies people but so what? You don't watch it for the storyline or the personality of the actors ffs.

What is wrong with finding someone sexy?

Teenagers, boys in particular watch porn. Its what they do and thats normal and healthy.Children below puberty have no desire for sex so they dont go looking for it.So this idea of protecting children from porn is just basically a myth made up by over-bearing tories.
the average age of exposure to 'pornorgaphy' is 11 years old....

I somewhat agree with your original post. I don't think that pornography should be regulated though.I think its a form of sexual exploitation by mostly women of mostly men and young boys and i think it should be banned.

....but i disagree with the idea that men are 'hornier' than women. I think that this is just a lie propagated by modern day media...just think about it for a second 99% of pornography is done by women so who's 'hornier' than who? We are just programmed not to question women. We live in a world that likes to protect women and their privacy whilst publicising and shaming men for any sexual act making men appear as though they are more dependent on sex than women, when the truth is very far from that....i mean, we don't have a biological timer ticking on top of our heads.

Yes 11.Right about the onset of puberty then really. They are probably exposed to porn at that age because they want to see it and hence go looking for it.Its not like you turn a computer on and porn just pops up is it? You generally have to actively search for it.And what exactly gives the government the right to censor anything it doesn't like? Indeed considering how intrusive their surveillance has been I'd say they are probably guilty of watching porn themselves.
