I have watched the film back in secondary school, I remember it was sad but is the book different?
I've never watched the film; i really want to though. The book, as most books tend to be contrary to common opinion, is more descriptive; the ending really made me cry.

I would give it a 2.5/5 because it did get VERY boring at times. That didn't stop me from being extremely sad about the ending though

I just read A thousand splendid suns and cried. I do suggest you read it if you haven't before as it's heartbreaking.
What book made you or almost made you cry?
Also any suggestions of what to read next?

It was interesting from beginning to end, however it makes your stomach turn and I don't ever want to read it again. I made it even more emotional by listening to this
