Someone did today; he started talking about his wife, of 39 years, that he, one day, found dead in bed. Yeah, I took what he said with a pinch of salt, seen as this guy didn't look a day over 30.

Depends on quite a lot of things: whether or not I'm preoccupied, what mood I'm in, and to some extent what they look like.

I'd usually happily talk back, I like talking and find it more natural than a group of people crammed on a train all looking at phones for example, especially when you have a shared experience to discuss (such as the overcrowded train lol).

I would be surprised though if someone else my age started a conversation. I'm 25, most people who start a conversation with me tend to be quite a bit older.
