Thanks a lot, JD. Because of you, the Tories got 2 fewer seats than what they should have got, and the Socs got 1 more than they should have got. If JD’s votes are added to the Tories, the right-wing would have 1 seat more than the left wing, with the Tories having 15 seats and the Socs having 3.
Boo hoo, maybe you should have written a better manifesto and taken those votes, clearly people don't approve of the current right wing here.

This is bringing greater joy than Trump's liberal tears.

Have to agree with Petros, a massive gratz to Jammy Duel — even if we both disagree with one another it would have been a shame if you hadn't got a seat.

Congratulations RayApparently, surely one of if not the biggest seat total for a single party ever?

It begs the question though, do we really need a week for coalition negotiations? There's only one way this is going xD
It is joint second biggest (with the Liberals 10 years ago actually). The biggest is the Tories when they somehow got 19. It is TSR Labour's best result though.

That is because TSR is a bastion for all of the naive, out-of-touch, left-wing individuals whose capacities for self-delusion make Walter Mitty appear unimaginative.
    You are too self critical...:slap:

I'd won the seat before the election even begun
    Is this foul play?

    But that didn't happen so...

Congrats Labour, a good campaign was fought.
Thanks James, congrats on maintaining your seat share.

Also congratulations to the Liberals for gaining a seat and to JD for winning one. Commiserations to UKIP and the Socialists.

There should be an amendment to allow independents to form a party to fulfil the seats they are entitled to if they happen to win more than one.

Tories got 19 seats in the 10th parliament and narrowly beat Labour's vote percentage too.

In the 13th parliament Labour formed a Lab-Lib-Cen-Kip coalition to kick us out but to be honest if Labour agreed to keep those traitorous extremists out of power (the Socs) then i'd be happy for our leadership to bow out for the term.

Lol in reality if we had an election tomorrow Labour would get crushed
In the Mhoc there are about 100 people who are party members and about 50 voters who bother to read manifestos (anything above 200 votes and RL comes heavily into play).

As much as i dislike their platform i must admit that Lab in the Mhoc have been trying to engage their membership (creating a large pool of active members to vote) and have been active and productive (meaning that passers by will notice that and reward that). The Greens also had 8% of the vote last time, it looks like almost all of their votes went to Labour.

That said, 25% for the Tories in the Mhoc is historically quite a good result.

I'm sure i speak for almost everybody Tory and Labourite when i say that any such amendment will be flat out rejected. That is plainly not in our self interest.

It depends who the independent candidate is, and the platform they stand on.

A thought occurs.. when was the last time that the establishment (Tory+Lab) took 60% of the seats.

    Never.

It was only in the first parliament that the 2 biggest parties got 62% but that was Lib Lab.

    Amendments should be non-partisan.
Personally I would prefer that we just create extra seats for indies up to 5 above the 50 reserved for parties should the indie get enough votes in general to take a seat.

As you know I have arguments with JD, that is unlikely to happen if the amendment did pass.
