I disagree. Who in their right mind is going to pilfer your forks and spoons? It's much easier just to leave that kind of stuff in the kitchen, and it makes it easier for everyone.

It depends on the type of hall your in... Is it a flat, whereby the thieves could only be the people sharing the flat, or a corridor with random kitchens along it, where realistically anyone in that hall could just walk in and steal things for their own kitchens.

Mine was the 2nd example, and stuff went missing all the time, including food from the fridge/freezer.

Mm..My kitchen was at the end of our corridor on the landing area where anyone in the building could access it. We were hopless at remembering to keep the kitchen locked especially at night but soon started to get into the habit when food was going missing from the freezer. Never had any plates/pans/forks go missing which was good

My baking tray went walkies - i couldn't understand it as it was really really old and there was much better ones elsewhere!
