They only penalise drivers that go for "cool" "Fashionable" cars. Most young drivers are blind to the fact that there are much better things out there for much less money. I had the fastest car in the student carpark when I was at school. I also had the lowest premium.
You have to think outside the box unless you want to fork out lots of hard earned.

Can I ask how that even works having insurance that's more expensive than the car itself. I mean If worst comes to worst they can write off the car and give you it's value which is significantly less than what they have charged you. It doesn't make sense?

because car insurers are evil. my very 1st car was a fiesta which i bought for 1500 and the insurance was 2000. they are just evil money stealing nobs.
