U2, you lot dont appreciate them enough it seems
What's your favourite song not on best ofs? Mine would be Ultra violet, Walk on and, especially 'Twilight', a personal fav.

FFS, I had a big reply written otu but TSR crashed on me

So Cruel

Love Is Blindness (chilling live song)

Acrobat (a particular hardcore U2 Fan fave)

U2 excelled in live performances for me, so a lot of their good stuff is on bootlegs and video recordings. Soem songs have like 15 good versions that all sound unique in their own ways.

For example a song like With Or Without You sounds really good and atmospheric on CD but live its a different beast, much mroe about the passio nand pwoerful voice http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=P8SPeR60lRI - i could go on

Bing Crosby- people just think of him as that old guy who sang a christmas song but without him there would have been no frank sinatra, so no rat pack, jazz may not have gone as mainstream as it did and louis armstrong would not have got a recording contract. Plus he was an amazing singer

GNR made soem good music, but i am not a fan of Slash live, some songs like Paradise city dont cut it live for me, espesically as many other guitarists can play live much more consistently - good on record though.

axl, was a **** and still is. what an embarassment.

Yeah, I agree completely with Ryan Adams.

Also: Of Montreal, and that great old folk singer that no-one's ever heard of: Jackson C. Frank. He makes my heart weep.

Red album is the best. Walk of life is great on Brothers in arms. Romeo and Juliet and expresso love worth checking out. Beyond that, there is not all that much.

I used to like Ryan Adams but he got boring. I prefer Jesse Malin to be honest.

o i agree completely, quite a few live performances are technically awful, but i suppose i like them more for the attitude and punchy riffs and then the atmosphere you get at the gigs.
Axl is just an arse and ruined it for fans like myself.
