Don't worry about mocks, I got all D's and E's in mine and ended up with mostly A's and B's in my actual exams.

Eng lang - A* (one mark off full marks in paper 1, and 'A' in paper 2. Gotta love my consistency...)
Someone at my school retook english lang in January
Paper 1-A*
Paper 2-D
You should talk to him about consistency

Omg, you were one of the freaky kids I was laffin at!
2 weeks?! We dont even get study leave for our real GCSEs.

They think the students wont use the times wisely.
Anyways goodluck with your GCSEs - doubt you'll need it with all that study leave.

We were supposed to get one week of study leave before the GCSE's but now we don't. But don't you have all that time in between exams off?

We only get about 5 days for our real GCSEs though, which is more than most people get so i guess we should be happy.

I think it was because he hadn't read the short stories since the first time we did it in June 07 so he was a bit screwed there
But he still must have done pretty poorly on the two writing tasks to get a D... D is half marks and if he got 0 on the short stories (which is unlikely) he would still need to drop quite a few marks for a D

shame though... he could perhaps have been the second person in the year to get an A* for language!

When we had our mocks, a while back now, a Harry Potter book had just come out, so I'd say about 25% of the people doing the mock, including me, just finished as fast as they could so they could read the book! That could explain why I didn't do so well in the mocks!!

A*A*AABCC

may seem pretty average for tsr, but pretty good for my school considering most people can spell DUDE or FUDE with there mocks.

(We were only allowed to sit foundation german despite being a top set!)
