    It obviously hasn't outweiged the increased cost of administration and pay for taking time out of work.

    I think that having the old system back is helpful for applicants; you spend more time around those in your syndicate and this can help you get to know their strengths and weaknesses for when you're in the hangar.

    I got my OASC date on Monday - (10th June anyone? pm me)

    Attached to the guide is a note stating:

    Please note that our process has undergone a recent review. Instead of potentially making 2 visits, you will be asked to complete a combined process, including the medical examination and fitness test, during one visit. You will undergo the procedures outlined in this booklet but they may be in a different order. The combined process will take up to 4 days as stated in our letter.

    To clear things up RAD Flight will continue to work on the fam visits, but it's likely to go back to the old style fam, rather then the current system of a part 2 OASC/fam combined. There is also talk of introducing the IOTFA on the fam visit so candidates don't have such a massive shock about it when they pitch up for IOT.
