She heard voices telling her to kill herself but she lied and told the hospital it was just severe depression and they gave her a few months off, then she learnt to cope with the voices thanks to that crazy psychologist and then told them she had recovered from her "depression".

OP, if you weren't depressed after losing 4 family members, then I would think you were mentally ill.
