Not like that in my family. My oldest brother wasn't a high acheiver at school, he was more practical. He wasn't 'college bound'. Howevever very independent and lots of responsibility.

My second brother is not calm, all round or peaceful. He is talented and high acheiving but also irrational and breaks the peace.

I am the youngest and I'm not easy going about school, I get the most attention but thats cause i am the only one left at home. I totally matured quickly mind

There's four of us :p: me and my 3 younger brothers
I'm the oldest probably would say that's about right
Youngest brother, hmmm he's only little and has been in school for two years so can't really tell.:p: That sounds more like my brother after me to be honest.
And middle child sounds a bit right too.

Not true at all. I only have one sibling (older). The occasional one is true but most of it isn't right.

TYPICAL BIRTH ORDER CHARACTERISTICS

3. A high achiever
4. Given and accepts more responsibility than the other

7. Is affectionate
All 7 are true for me.

2. Is usually a peace maker.
3. is somewhat average in schoolwork, but is an allaround
good student
4. Is usually a calm, even-tempered adult.
This isn't really true for my brother. He's clever, but not a very hard worker or even-tempered.

1. Gets a lot of attention, along with a lot of bossing.
2. May be spoiled
3. Usually matures quickly
4. May be undisciplined and irresponsible
5. Is easy-going about school.
1, 2, 4 and 5 are true for my sister, but she's very immature.

The oldest child is:
1. Usually set up as an example to the other children. Yep.
2. Treated more like an adult by his/her parents. Sort of...well, not really, he's nearly 30 and my parents still pay for everything for him because he's been studying.
3. A high achiever Hell yeah. Frikkin' PhD!
4. Given and accepts more responsibility than the other
children. Not really - he's not really sensible enough I don't think!
5. Usually college bound. Hell yeah - he somehow got into the best university in the world, hard act for us all to follow!
6. Independent Only by virtue of living alone - when he's home he's completely incapable of doing anything himself.
7. Is affectionate With me (the youngest), but not generally - he is a boy after all!

The middle child:
1. May work extra-hard to get recognition. I dunno - he's naturally intelligent but lazy.
2. Is usually a peace maker. Definitely. He's the mediator whenever I have an argument with our parents.
3. is somewhat average in schoolwork, but is an allaround
good student In the subjects he was good at, he excelled, but his results don't reflect how ridiculously intelligent he is. Not an all-rounder though!
4. Is usually a calm, even-tempered adult. Haha. No. Fiery, violent, very short-tempered!

The youngest child:
1. Gets a lot of attention, along with a lot of bossing. I suppose I do get a lot of attention...:P:
2. May be spoiled Well...yeah
3. Usually matures quickly No way. I'm immature as anything!
4. May be undisciplined and irresponsible undisciplined Yeah, I'm undisciplined and I'm irresponsible!
5. Is easy-going about school Nope - I always stressed about school. I always got top grades but I was always paranoid about not getting them! I guess in a way I was easy-going though, as I was extremely lazy :p:

I have a sister (she's the oldest) and 3 older brothers. I'm the youngest and most innocent

I'd say some of a few of those characteristics are true in my family. The oldest child characteristics apply more to my oldest brother (who's the 2nd youngest). I'm the youngest but the highest achiever in the family  Suckers :yeah:

The others would probably say I'm spoiled but I'm really not :hmmm:

In my family it is vice versa. My elder sister, just got a £15000 car, and a flat when she started uni. I am currently struggling to buy my own car, and to pay for halls next yr. Although mayb cos she is a higher achiever than me

Ok, I'm the oldest child and I have a younger brother. Let's see how this fits.

Older child:
1. The idea of me being an example to anyone is completely laughable.
2. My parents consistently treat me like a child despite the fact I'm 19.
3. I'm a high acheiver, but my brother will likely do similarly.
4. I suppose I'm given a bit more responsibility due to age, but giving me responsibilities is generally a very bad idea.
5. I presume by 'college' this means university, and yes. But then so is my brother.
6. Not really.
7. Affectionate is not a word I would use to describe myself.

Younger child:
1. True enough.
2. To an extent.
3. The idea of my brother being mature is hilarious.
4. Without a doubt, but less so than me.
5. Yes, but so am I.

So all in all this doesn't seem to fit at all for me and my brother.

Oldest child (my older brother)
1. he is often used as an example of how the rest of us should not be
2. he often acts like a child and is treated as such
3. academically no, but credit where credit is due, he's not doing terrible for himself
4. see answer #2
5. dropped out of college
6. independant? oh that's hilarious!
7. used to make my life a living hell, affectionate, i think not

he wishes he was an only child and thinks he's gods gift basically

Middle Children (me and my sister)
1. sort of
2. definately
3. true for my sister i guess, but people say i'm the smartest of the 4 of us (trying really hard for that not to sound big headed)
4. yep, true for both of us, although we both can be really random at times lol

tbh, we both fit a lot of the oldest child options as well

Youngest Child (my little bro)
1. bossing yes, but he tends to shy away from lots of attention
2. not really
3. yes in some way, no in others
4. a little bit yeah
5. yes

he generally keeps himself to himself, bit of a loner
