Does the wax on your fringe not weigh your fringe down or cause your fringe to stick to your head? Or even worse - cause spots?
I haven't really noticed the extra weight, but I'm going for the "intellectual" look with a straight fringe. I've got a cowlick that it seems to overcome too. The amount I use isn't really that great - in terms of sticking to your head, Brylcreem's a lot worse. That's really watered down and does leave sticky marks (think snails!), but this wax is pretty good. I think it's the one where on the advert, they've got breakdancers and their hair keeps springing up. Maybe try it on a day when you're not leaving the house.

I've never used it on my hair, it's probably too long. I usually have it tied back in a ponytail anyway, so nobody notices if it's messy. I haven't had any spots as yet, it must be the T-Zone doing its job. :p:

This is the wax anyway.

*Googles* Boots says £20. I have expensive taste  which won't be great when I go off to Uni but ah well. It seems to last me quite a long time, though, and you can buy sets if you wanted the 'totally famous' Touche Eclat with it.
I saw online that you can buy the mascara for £15 ish.. a quick google search shows a couple of online places. They'd probably charge a lot of P&P to compensate, but it's worth looking I suppose!

(Original post by TheRandomer)
* Blusher: I use benetint instead
(Original post by Tufts)
What's that?
http://www.boots.com/brandtreatment/...tionid=1027257

A lip/cheek stain It stays on for ages.. gives you a 'natural glow' I suppose. haha. All the magazines rave about it, and it really does live up to the hype.
And being the clumsiest person I know, if I've managed not to stain my clothes/room/carpet yet.. s'all good.

Face/Makeup:
  • Lip protector: carmex lip balm, sometimes use strawberry lipsol.
  • Eye liner: natural collection - usually black
  • Mascara: maybelline lash stylist
  • Foundation: used to wear Rimmel Cool Matte Mouse but my skin didn't agree with it, have now invested in Benefit Play Sticks foundation, which looks much better on and is quite light/natural looking, which is good because I don't like heavy foundation. Bloody expensive though!
  • Concealer: Rimmel Hide the Blemish
  • Powder: Collection 2000 usually, but I've now bought Benefit Get Even.
  • Face mask: Sometimes buy ones from boots/superdrug but no brand in particular
  • Moisturiser: Varies - at the moment it's Simple hydrating light moisturiser, but I'm going to buy a different brand tomorrow if I can afford it, because this one doesn't work on me - if anything it makes my skin dryer!
  • Facewash: Simple moisturising foaming facial wash.
  • Acne/spot treatment: Been going to doctors for years for acne treatments, some of them work for a while but then my skin gets used to them, pfft.
  • Makeup remover: Facewipes! I'll use any brand really.

Hair:
  • Shampoo: Either Sunsilk Waves and Curls (seems to have disappeared from shops recently ) or Frizz Ease Curl Around daily shampoo.
  • Conditioner: Same as above, but the conditioner not the shampoo!
  • Mask/treatment: Sometimes use Tresemme deep conditioning mask.
  • Hair spray: Varies, at the moment it's Wella Silvikrin firm hold, but I really aren't fussed!
  • Heat protection spray: Let it dry naturally most of the time, but when I do use it it's Charles Worthington.
  • Serum: Either Aussie curl definition and soft feel serum, or normal Frizz Ease stuff.

Body:

  • Hair removal product: Superdrug
  • Shower Gel: any
  • Razor: Gillette Venus.
  • Exfoliator: Either one from body shop or **** sugar scrub
  • Body Scrub: same as above really.
  • Deodorant: Any, at the moment it's Mum sensetive care unperfumed, but I prefer spray on deodrants to roll on ones really.
  • Other products worth mentioning: body moisturiser - love Body Shop Satsuma body butter, but it's expensive so I normally use a Dove or Nivea one.

Hands/Nails:
  • Nail varnish: Rarely wear, but any brand.
  • Hand cream: Nivea.

I keep hearing 'mineral'. What's it all about?

I don't use foundation.

[*]Hair removal product: Threading for eyebrows
What's 'threading?'

(Original post by baby_emmy)
[*]Highlighter: YSL (Touche Eclat)
I've heard that this is good stuff. What do you like about it?

(Original post by baby_emmy)

Why does everyone like Lush?

(Original post by baby_emmy)
[*]Shower Gel: Imperial Leather (Foamburst)
Mmmmmm love the smell of that :coma:

[*]Eye shadow: Barry M's dazzle dust/fine glitter dust (#s: 1, 14, 64, 66, 80 & 89)
That's the second mention of Barry M so far! Is it a good brand?

(Original post by georgia)
[*]Foundation: MAC's Studio Fix in N3 (the palest they do, but still not quite pale enough but at least it doesn't look orange like Maybelline's stuff does)
Good point. That's why I shy away from foundation: fear of looking orange/Jordan.

(Original post by georgia)
[*]Powder: n/a - the foundation I use IS in powder form
So its a facepowder rather than a foundation? - or is it both?

(Original post by georgia)
[*]Other products worth mentioning: I'm not grubby and disgusting as suggested by those last few answers because sensitive baby wipes are the best thing ever

I don't think you're grubby at all. Less is more

Tufts you just want some sneaky tips :p:, I feel a lot of bourjois paris coming up...
Face/Makeup:

  • Lipstick: Docteur Glamour by bourjois
  • Eye shadow: I'm not a big eyeshadow person, basically I have loads from like cheapy christmas sets etc and I buy the avon trio compact ones in nude, and pink/grey. Excellent for on the move!
  • Lip liner: n/a
  • Lip plumper: n/a
  • Lip protector: Lispy?
  • Lip balm: Anything nivea with an SPF. SPF is important.
  • Lip gloss: I HAD to add in lip gloss. Barry M lip glosses are fantastic. I picked one up at the Clothes Show last year, it lasted me around 4 months and now I wouldn't go elsewhere!
  • Eye liner: I own quite a few but the main ones are- bourjois paris clubbing eyeliner for a very fine line, good effect and barry m for a much fuller line
  • Mascara: Good ol' Miss Sporty. Never fails me, my lashes always look great!
  • Blusher: Little round pot blush by boujoirs, excellent - best one I have ever owned!
  • Foundation: Boujoirs 10 hour sleep effect, on the look out for a new one though possibly MAC
  • Highlighter: Yves Saint Laurent - the best you will ever get
  • Concealer: Boujoirs again...
  • Powder: Either Rimmel matt effect or boujoirs
  • Face mask: n/a
  • Moisturiser: A Johnsons one - glass pot with a pink lid it's gorgeous for my skin
  • Facewash: Simple
  • Clenser: Simple
  • Toner: Simple
  • Acne/spot treatment: Clearasil
  • Makeup remover: Ahh I don't care BABY WIPES! Johnsons sensitive, use em all the time they are great!
  • Other products worth mentioning: N/A

Hair:
  • Shampoo: Usually something my Tresemme or body shop
  • Conditioner: Usually something my Tresemme or body shop
  • Mask/treatment: Andrew... can't think of his name :/ black pot with orange writing, gorgeous smell and good for your hair
  • Hair spray: VO5
  • Mousse: n/a
  • Heat protection spray: Tresemme's purple one
  • Volume spray: Haha hairspray :p:
  • Serum: ANDREW COLLINGE! Phew I use both his serem and mask
  • Gel: n/a
  • Other products worth mentioning: Well I obviously own straightners, not GHDs but plan to get some in September. Atm I have some Babyliss ones that do just the trick

Body:

  • Hair removal product: Veet removal cream
  • Shower Gel: Forget your expensive brand, supermarket brands are brilliant and work just as well for a fraction of the price!
  • Razor: Venus - but I do have an epilator which gets used more
  • Exfoliator: I just ran out of my exfoilator gel but I always have an exfoliator mitt
  • Fake tan: I need help on this soon...
  • Cellulite Treatment: n/a
  • Body Scrub: n/a
  • Deodorant: Sure crystal spray
  • Other products worth mentioning: n/a

Hands/Nails:
  • Nail varnish: Boujoirs makes an appearance again, I love their natural/french polish varnishes. Rimmel for other colours and clear varnishes
  • Hand cream: Nivea
  • Other products worth mentioning: Just a quick note for people who take care of your feet! Boots do a great foot scrub, tiny tube but wicked and scholl (sp?) for a foot file and gel pads. I also recommend ASDA for anything else that you need for your beauty needs - cotton wool buds, nail files, brushes etc. Really good value and some excellent products

Dunno really, I've never tried any other foundation so I don't know whether this one's lighter than normal, but I like it :]

(Original post by Tufts)

Ditto with the psoriasis but mine is chronic it doesn't get rid of it, I need other stuff to do that (go to your doctor, you wouldn't believe how many treatments they can prescribe you!), but it keeps it under control. When I've used normal shampoo before my psoriasis gets worse, so I have to use this one.

Maxfactor foundation its about £13 but worth it! The mascara is also good.
There is a face powder that Dior do which is really good and you dont even need to wear foundation under so is perfect for summer. But again its about £26.

A body spray that i LOVE the smell is Boots' own brand spray - 'flirty', its about £1.59 and is delicious.

For body moisturisers I usually use the johnsons baby stuff as I have very sensitive skin and it doesnt sting at all.

That's the second mention of Barry M so far! Is it a good brand?

Good point. That's why I shy away from foundation: fear of looking orange/Jordan.

So its a facepowder rather than a foundation? - or is it both?

I don't think you're grubby at all. Less is more
- It's not a crappy brand my any means, but it's not amazing in the sense that it's not MAC, Chanel, Clinique etc. However the colour range is fabulous and the eyeshadows are somewhere between £4 and £5 each which is pretty good imo.

- I'd shy away from it too, but I'm incredibly insecure about my skin so needs must I guess!

- It's a foundation. However as it's in a pressed powder form, it's supposed to keep shine down and act as a mattifyer too, which is essentially all most powders are.

- Less is definitely more, and my skin loves me for it and behaves much better than it does with facewashes and stuff.
