I think we've established I'm lazy and this requires a lot of work. I'd rather just join one and drink.

We should start a "wine tasting" soc :O!
They'd give us money and everything.

My gosh, that could be fun

Exactly its educational and elite. Although they'd have to be proper alcohols, you know 20 year old whiskeys and such. Not just Lambrini...

and as i said they'd pay us. I could be President, you could be Vice President, and we could come up with cool social themes like "Pick one film you've watched for the story and not the fit actor, then talk about it" AND Pool tornaments.

I think we'd be popular you know...

There used to be a drinking society (went by various names), but got officially disbanded for various reasons, was still going unofficially in 06/07 tho I'm not 100% sure about this year just gone. Smooth Divers.

I reckon I could start a new one then. Do you think i'd have to call it something else though, disguise the real reason of it a little?

I think "Wine Tasteing Soc" would be best

Yeah, Wine tastering soc could be a better name, a drinking society would be cool but it would end up attracting all the actual alcoholics and most other people would just think it a bit seedy. Call it something with a bit of class and I think you could get away with it.

Edit: In fact just call it the 'Aber Beverage Soc'

Yea, I'd join a drinking society! I mean, a wine tasting one.

But this year methinks I might actually join something, seeing as I joined nothing last year! Still went to plenty of socials tho, I think that was my plan, to go to as many socials that I don't belong to as poss! Can't remember what my total was tho

Biosoc deffinitly, and I've been told I will be joining Aberpride, by the secretary no less And I feel I should join a sporty one really, walking or badminton, maybe hockey. I could get my jolly hockey stick out!
Yey for goodie bags!

Well, definitely continue with AberPride and Nomadic Players - I want to try for a committee position next year for AP (wish I had this!) and I really enjoyed all the acting biz - Shakespeare this year, tis rumoured! *is excited*.

I want to get more involved in WARPsoc... they keep trying to get me in the LARPing, and E keeps trying to get me in Showdance. He said he'd LARP with me if I joined showdance, and that's really really tempting... it'd be so funny...

Also, I fancy going on a walk once every few months. Keep me company TF?

And I want to get a job.

Anyone want to volunteer to force me to sleep next year?

No need to join a drinking soc - geography or skiing work very well for that. (skiing got me so pissed, it was horrific. I was only there for about an hour.)

Well, you crashed at least 5 societies. Unless we're counting separate socials, which would have been at least 2/3 of the Aberpride ones. That's at least 30 socials then, altogether.

Just the sec telling you you're joining? No tisn't. *pokes* Join! Join! I'm sure C will agree - his fault you were always gatecrashing! *pokepoke* You get a gay card and everything!

Then you get free stuff! :p:

Wine Tasting soc it will have to be, just because the word Beverage sounds like old men to me. I think wine tasting doesn't sound like it involves enough actual drinking for alcoholics.

All our positions would have to sound class-tastic to, like "Eleanor President of The Wine Tasting Soc, Champagne expert and skillfull skier" or something along those lines.

Besides Wine Tasting is education, where else are we going to learn to be snobby at elitist dinner parties?

Anyone want to help?

p.s Lauren you know it was hilarity.

Sure, we'll get one of the members to look it up on wikipedia exactly how you have to act at these things and just follow their lead There would have to be a 'Wine and cheese tasting' event as well at least once.

Oh Wine and Cheese could be one of our themed nights. Then we could have like a smoking jacket themed night. We could just print out cheat sheets and hand them out, one of the guidelines should be "Speake ye Queenes English"

O.k Lauren You're my Vice-President, Sauvignon blanc extrodinaire and respected Koala keeper. I'm going to be the "President, Chardonnay Mogul and Skilled Skier"

Declan you up for a place?

Also anyone wishing to join please say i'll need a tresurer and a Social sec at least.

Cool, i think i may add alot of unessercary positions as well, i really want someone to be the

"Supermarket and less then £4.00 Wine Specialist Secretary" and
"A glass of Red Wine a day is actually good for you, you know Seniour Specialist Sec"

So you can either have something to actively do, or just join and make up a cool title for yourself, just tell me first.
