O Mio Babbino Caro

This 1965 Callas version, in particular. Something about the way her voice breaks on the "O Dio, vorrei morir" bit just gets me.

You'll Never Walk Alone- Gerry and The Pacemakers. Reminds me of my late Grandad. Guaranteed to set me off.

Oh and 'Songbirds' by Eva Cassidy...I'm always in tears after that! *sniff*

Jeff Buckley - Hellalujah.
I love this song to death...more than the Leonard Cohen or Rufus Wainwright versions..

EDIT: Just noticed that all the artists here died quite tragically =[. You think a dead artist adds to the teariness?
I think the context is VERY important in having an emotional song, not just to do with the artist either, sometimes the reason why the song was written.

I have bawled to Nothing Compares To You sung by Sinead O'Connor, but written by Prince to do with his mother dying..

The most teary song I know is Tears In Heaven by Eric Clapton..written because of the tragic death of his little boy falling out of a window

This isn't a song, although it is definitely one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=duSL3y2LASI

It's the fourth movement (Adagietto) from Mahler's symphony number 5

Those are funny tracks to cry over.

Big Pun id agree with, probably because he is dead but saying that I never cry over tupac.

I like tupacs unborn child though. Thats a bit sad: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=NUjNK6VEDag

^^ I think its the music that makes it feel sad.

Totally agree! I first heard it on 'How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days' and I play it to death now!

Mine atm is 'Slow Dancing In A Burning Room' by John Mayer.
