Do you not think it might have been started by some minimod pissing off some user and the latter finding out they couldn't put the former on ignore? :p: It's happened a few times in the shoutbox recently.
Fair enough. I suspect the settings for those kind of options would be based on usergroup, and obviously 'minimod' is one massive usergroup. I'm not sure how they'd make it customiseable.

But it's not like ignore lists are global aswell. Minimod is a global group, Ignore lists are tailored to each individual. The option that allows Minimods to be 'unignorable' should be revoked and applied to a specific sub-forum for that specific minimod. (You can ban people from specific subforums now so I don't think coding that would be a hassle.)

This isn't such an important change though.

I can't see any real problem with this request, we'll just get a bit of chat with minis going to confirm that it's not going to inhibit their ability moderate. But it sounds reasonable.

Never seen the need to ignore people never mind mods, and don't even know what the function actually does.
But I can't see anything wrong with this idea.

Having discussed this proposal, it will go on the dev list, but it will be low priority given that it may end up being quite complicated to sort this and there are lots of other things to be fixed and new features to be implemented that are higher priority.

I don't see the point of the ignore function, to be honest.

Awesome. Can we also rectify this while we're at it?
