Never thought I'd be making these "MY GOD MY LIFE SUCKS" posts, but here I am.

    Just got rejected. Brilliant.

I have barely any friends, I'm doing rubbish at school, and even if by some miraculous chance I do get into university, I'll just do my degree, get a job, get a house, then die.

Why can't I just ******* well skip to the last step and just die, right now? If there is a heaven, it'll be a hell of a lot better than this place.
What's to say in a year's time you won't be having the time of your life at university, in a great relationship?

You are just in a negative mood - everything will seem bleak.

I listen to this if I'm sad; the lyrics. Give it a chance, and life's great by the way - there will be good days and bad, it's how you deal with them that counts.

Nobody can predict the future, life is what you make it!

If you convince yourself its gonna be crap it will be, you need to fill it with things you enjoy doing.

    You only live one life
Are we playing 'how many utterly infuriating, blatant platitudes can one condense into a single post'? Because if so, I bet I could beat you.

Trust me sunny jim, a girl you like at age 18 is usually far less important than your education which can affect the rest of your life.

Of course she's not. But then, of course, you get a degree, you do postgrad if applicable, then you get a job, a house, and keep at your miserable job until you die at a grand old age of about 70.

What the hell is the point? What experiences are there? Socialising? Socialising has no point to it, does it?

Yes, life is generally rubbish. It's just that some people out there are more delusional than others.

I find positive, try your best sort of comments never help in this situation.

You're assuming you'll never find another girl...which I'll bet is untrue....fact is your life can be as good or as bad as you want. If you want to mope around cause this schoolgirl (yes, that's what she is, not even a woman), rejected you, and you're gonna **** up your life over it, you'll have a crap time. If however you accept there are other things to focus on and that one girl isn't the be all and end all, and that other girls will come along, I guarantee you'll have a much better time.

Finally, someone who understands... and who's doing Maths at Warwick. Makes me feel far better about myself, because I'm applying for a Maths course too.

Uni's going to be splendid, if I ever get in.

Its not the material things you are living for such as a job and house, its the experiences, good times you WILL have and your hobbies. Ive been sacked, rejected from university, voted the least attractive person in the class, have never been asked out by a guy and am one of the worst at the sports I do but it doesn't mean my quality of life will be any lower than someone who's the opposite. You become stronger by getting past the bad stuff.
lol, you've got to crash and burn in style. That's what I like to do.

Great. "Stick it out" being the best piece of advice, I think drowning my sorrows in alcohol for the first time ever or simply going to sleep trying to justify my meaningless existence should do nicely.

To be honest, if I was the OP and wanted to create a totally nihilistic thread about how everything is rubbish the last thing I would want is someone telling me to cheer up with a load of pointless Clichés!

What else I wouldn't want is for the thread to turn into a pointless discussion about which posts suck the most.

What I'd want is genuine advice.

Let me tell you a little story. I was the kind of guy that was a bit like a lone wolf, I thought I would get a girlfriend when I was like 40 and probably never lose my virginity because I would probably lose her in like a day. That all changed when I started having strong feelings for one of my friends and now we are together and it is just the best. I would have never thought about it months ago before this happened, it was so unexpected.

So life may be rubbish NOW, but you do not know how it will be in a few months time. I didn't know and the odds of me getting a girlfriend that has made me so HAPPY were probably VERY MUCH against me, yet it happened and I am very happy because of it. Just hang in there and go with the flow. You NEVER know what will or will not happen.

You see, I thought that was the case with this girl, and it wasn't. Sucks, badly, you know? Then I think, there's no real point, because no girl's going to like me anyway, I'm not good looking either.
