ok, why doesnt everyone just ignore him then. In another thread today one of the mods actually provoked him, seems a bit stupid to me.
was the name of this mod perchance 'edders'?

It doesnt really matter who it was, but aren't mods supposed to be impartial?

Im not trying to lay blame or criticise, but a mod actively starting a dispute with someone, on the board they are supposed to be moderating, seems just a little silly.

Well, the way I see it..

This guy has obviously had arguments in the past with the mod, but in this instance posted a completely innocent thread asking for advice, and the moderator immediately replies with some kind of criticism. This is obviously going to provoke the person into starting an argument/slanging match, which resulted in the thread being deleted.

With all the complaints about useless posts/threads and general crap on the forum taken into account, I dont believe this was the correct way for a moderator to respond.

The thread was deleted shortly after, but another member posted something about 'he shouldnt expect help from anyone', and then you made some sort of joke about him, which he responded to with lots of abuse aimed at you.

Maybe 'actively starting a dispute' was the wrong thing to say, but provocation it definetly was.

Or maybe I just read the thread wrong, or took something out of context.
