I’m currently in my second year of a Btec National Diploma For IT practitioners and have applied to Queen Mary for computer science (G400), I have received an offer from QM for me to get a triple Distinction and a C in GCSE mathematics, the only down side of this is that they require a distinction in all 18 units, which is okay for me as I have already 12 of the possible 18. If you have any more questions or querys lemme know, there isnt a lot on information avaliable on TSR for BTEC's, quote me

If you want to do Computer Science at an average level university i.e. Queen Mary's/Royal Holloway then I believe that a DDD grades are required in all 18 units. Personally I recommend you not to do a BTEC. Many Uni's prefer if you did atleast an A2 in Maths or Computing.

The people with AS's and A2's will be more highly considered by the university than the person with BTEC's. If you're doing A2 maths as well, maybe you will surely get into Uni.
