Afraid not. As an example, take the (mainly ionic) NaCl. The electronegativities of Na,Cl, respectively are 0.93, 3.16. For a covalent C-H bond in methane, they are 2.55,2.2, so big difference=ionic.

(A perfectly covalent bond is only found in Cl2, H2, N2 etc. because the difference between the electronegativities is zero.)
Ah! silly me! ok

I said hydrogen bonding and London forces too
I cant have had hydrogen bonding. The H was attached to a carbon, which isnt electronegative enough to create a positive charge on the yhdrogen to...

Yeah I thought about that but then thought are they trying to trick/test me cos F forms hydrogen bonds..I over think things way too much lol ah well

Same...
I did
0.0112 in the dilute
in the dilute was 10% ethanoic acid (25cm3 ethanoic acid in 225cm3 of water? I did 25/250 * 100 cuz 25cm3 eth in 250cm3 solution is 10% ethan)
so
the ethanoic acid should be 0.0112/10 = 0.112
thats what I did.. might be wrong.. meh..

Yes twice

0.0112 / 10 is not 0.112

0.0112 / 10 is not 0.112
so what is the answer for the concentration then?

would there be a mark for error carried through from the previous parts to get 67.2?

how did you get 67.2? if you dilute a solution you divide it

It was a dilute solution of 250cm^3 with 25cm^3 vinegar. Therefore the concentration would be 10 times more than in the solution, so you times by 10 to get 1.12.

That's what I did anyway, and I am sure is what many others did too.

The only one that started with R, I think it was B or C. Because of it being a straight chain and hydrogen bonding due to hydroxyl group

i got 67.2 for the gdm^3 question o.o
why is everybody saying 67.4?
wasn't it :

1.12 moldm^-3 * 60 gmol^-1 = 67.2gdm^-3
ya your ryt ...actually i had a dim vision of the answer ur ryt
