What is each parties opinion on the brewing tension in Korea?

Rhetoric driven by the fact that his generals are likely in charge given his inexperience. Personally i hope China removes the leadership should they become too aggressive.

We need to take a back seat and watch from the sidelines it would irresponsible to get involved.

From the Libertarian point of view we are looking at advocating non-interventionalist policies. But on this situation any move looks to have dire consequences for the North or both North and South. More sanctions would only be passed on to the people, I honestly say im not sure what the right answer will be.

All I can say is encouraging ratcheting up the pressure from China and Russia may have a better more at home impact on Kim

My personal opinion is that there's very little need to get involved, this isn't and I doubt ever will be, our fight. It's all sabre rattling (love that term) and even if North Korea was stupid enough to attack America, they would be wiped off the face of the Earth, by America and China isn't going to put up with their problem child any longer. This is my opinion though and not the opinion of the Socialists.

I actually agree with you both in this instance. Whilst my normal go to response in this situation would probably be intervention from NATO if attacked the bordering with China in this instance makes dealing with North Korea their responsibility given that they have both the means and will to deal with situation.

I don't really think anything will happen. If North Korea does try to do something, they can kiss their country goodbye (I doubt America will allow them the liberty of existence if they make good on their nuclear threats). I don't particularly think we should get involved militarily; just leave it to China and the U.S.

TSR has been quite poor at advertising events like this recently. I tried several times to get a Twitter update to advertise the most recent MUN hype but nothing happened.

Hi, do you know when it will be possible for the mass-PM to be sent and the announcement published?

Perhaps it's because, in relative terms, the MUN is a minute irrelevance to the broader aims of the site and the HoC is a severe pain in the arse? By not bothering with mass PMs and twitter announcements, they're engaging in willing neglect with the aim of choking off both subforums for their own good? Just as a thought.

If it delivers a better result for the Tories then so be it.

Naa, i expect they've got back after the Easter weekend and will send it though if they didn't it would be interesting to see the result given that no by-election yet has seen every party stand.

Yeah I tried with the MHoC election in our shared private thread, no joy.

Although you have to give them some credit, they retweeted this tweet lol

    Ta for doing this.

I've been in contact with one of the members of the Community Team on Twitter, Warren Oates (see http://twitter.com/warren_oates) who's seemed interested in the election, I've just tweeted him asking for him to poke one of his colleagues about doing a Mass PM. I'll keep you all posted on what he says.

If that's the case, they should shut the subforums down. If TSR want to keep them both open, then they should be prepared to assist with the promotion of both the MUN and HOC. The best way they can be made more 'relevant' or active is to have support from TSR to promote events and discussions and attract new members.

Its hardly a pain in the arse, if they can retweet one of my tweets, I'm sure they write their own advertising it for themselves and type up a quick mass-PM. It's hardly rocket science and would be in their best interest to support us...

I think he was talking more about the recent trouble with the bar making MHoC a pain in the arse.

I say we go in and take Kim Jong-un out and let China deal with the country.

I'm in comp myself and I wouldn't have it any other way. If you find yourself in a work environment with distractions will you have past life experience to deal with them? I know I will
There are distractions at both private and state schools; but at private schools the distractions tend to be less significant when you have teachers breathing fire!

Of course, but why pay for education when if you're child has the right social skills he can come out with the same grades for free?
