    Someone please check out question 5(iii) and explain it to me please. I don't have a clue what's going on here's the paper (go to page 40) and the mark scheme
    Ah mate i remember seeing that Q i few months back, but i nver asked the teach lol fail, but there's no point worrying about that, slim chance of it coming up anyways.

    This is what i've heard people have been saying and what i think hasn't come up for a while:

    galapagos,
    something out of the topic about pcr/genome sequencing/insulin/rice etc,
    something out of the pages 232, 236-237 (muscles topic),
    brain
    shedding leaves (pg 223)
    how auxins stimulate shoot growth (pg 222)
    meiosis
    apoptosis
    epistasis
    something out of the topic animal behaviors (social behavior in primates i think)
    Chi squared
    Nitrogen cycle
    Aseptic technques/Asepsis - that table on the bottom of pg 163

    but anything could come up even repeated topics

    You just need to know that cytokinines inhibit leaf senscence, however drop in auxin causes drop in cytokinines and makes the abscisson zone more sensitve to ethene. drop in auxin means increase in ethene production and consequently more cellulase. cellulase digest the cell walls in the abscisson zone and eventually the petiole separates from le stem.

    Deciduous plants are under Plant response. They are to do with leaf abscission(leaf fall) Typical question= Explain the process of leaf fall in plants, in reference to auxin, cytokinis and ethene?
