    Yupp, if you've found an interview easy it probably means they knew that you weren't up to it and just gave up pushing you ;D Meanwhile, offer from Bath through, A*AA, and also an offer from Nottingham in the post, but not on UCAS yet... Anyone else the same or know why?

    -Where you live?
    -A Levels chosen and predicted/hopeful AS and A2 grades?
    -Branches of physics you're interested in?
    -Universities you're looking at/favouring?
    -Specific course(s) you're planning on applying for?

    I live in Northamptonshire.
    I'm studying physics, chemistry, and maths at A2. Got CCCD at AS {D in biology} due to poor mental health at the time. Hoping for ABB+ this year, preferably A*AB/A*BB.
    Astrophysics, but career-wise I'm looking at medical physics.

    I'm applying for:
    -- University of Central Lancashire {Physics w/ Astrophysics MPhys, ABC}
    -- Keele University {Astrophysics w/ Mathematics or Chemistry, BBB}
    -- Heriot-Watt University {Physics MPhys, ABB/BBB}
    -- University of Hull {Physics with Astrophysics BSc, 300}

    Although, with Hull I don't know whether to go for the MPhys or not. It's 320 points. My predicted grades are ABB, but I really don't think I should put another one that's that high. And I currently don't have a fifth, I'd like for it to be <BBB but I can't find anything ugh

    I live in Kent
    I'm studying Physics A2 , Fine Art A2 and Maths (AS + A2) and I am predicted AAC, Although It is still possible for me to achieve much more… the fact I am studying AS and A2 Maths in a year is not that great… but hey ho.

    Last year I got a B in AS Chemistry!

    I'm applied for
    -- Queens University Belfast (AAB - BBB)
    -- University of Southampton
    -- University of Exeter
    -- Loughborough
    -- University of leicester

    Litereally just had my UCAS Application sent off!

    although, I have applied for the Republic of Ireland too!

    We'll both be applying to Keele and Heriot-Watt! Although at Keele I'll likely be doing astrophysics w/ maths {or chemistry}

    Hi!
    I've investigated Keele and this option but I don't know if the second subject would take "credit space" from the main subject and if that would affect my degree title in the sense that I wouldn't have like the full BSc in Physics or something. I'll have to investigate it further, thanks!

    Well, I don't know much about the foundation year although I know Southampton offers one that is supposed to be quite good.
    I think they are completely joint/combined degrees, not sure if you can take up modules without getting credit for them.. wouldn't that be like sitting in another lecture for the fun of it?

    Apparently it's not that hard to switch from BSc to MPhys as long as you've got the grades in whilst at uni, someone here on TSR who's at Hull did it.

    Ah okay. I'm not too bothered about an MPhys - I don't mind saving to do a masters later on. The website just made it sound like it wasn't possible, but we'll see! I've put the BSc on my UCAS form. Now to find one more university...

    Hey, I'd really like to know how long your interview was and what you talked about during it, like was it physics and math problem solving based or more talking about why you want to be a physicist. If you could help me out, that'd be great.

    Yeah the interviews at Manchester are lovely. Where else are you going to have interviews for?

    I had one last year and it was a bit of both.

    I had mine today - so great, she asked me why I want to study physics, and its really opened ended you can control the interview, I was gushing about quantum theory for ages, then we did a bit of maths because I brought up Gauss

    I sent mine off on Oct 20th, so the week after Oxbridge day. Got Surrey offer in 2 days, and then Bath and Nottingham last Friday, although Nottingham isn't on UCAS yet, they posted it asking me to come for an 'informal discussion' on their applicant day to finalise the offer

    I sent my application to them on October 17th and they sent me an offer letter last Saturday (so November 8th).... offer isn't through 'officially' on Ucas though, grades are subject to change upon interview but the offer itself is secure

    Tried to find a thread specific to physics applicants but couldn't find one :s

    If we just do the usual:
    -Type of physics (astro, theoretical, w/maths, w/computing...)
    -Predicted grades and subjects
    -Where have you applied
    -Where have you got interviews or offers from?

    Me:
    Applies for plain physics
    A*A*Aa (Phys, Maths, Economics, F.maths AS)
    Exeter,Bristol,UCL,Imperial,Oxfo rd

    Got an offer from bristol for AAA, and also have a visit day at exeter this thursday! no news elsewhere
