Because the best compassion will be to prevent any further events of this kind and to do that one needs to understand the causes of current ones..
People aren't going to prevent further events of this kind by commenting on a student forum board about how Muslims are animals and they shouldn't be forced to tolerate them.

I agree - but that comes after. When things have settled down for a bit and it's been a few hours, people have been confirmed as being safe, etc... then we can start thinking about all of this.

Quite a few people have been coming on here and done nothing but spread hate. It really does show what the human race has become.
Ofc we all want them to be safe but we're not the ones saving them

A lack of direction, identity, cohesion, activity.
Rife and stinky islamophobia and xenophobia.
Yep, it's the fault of everything else. Poor Muslims are the real victims, not the people killed in the name of the religion.

Here's a crazy thought though, maybe it could be to do with them following an ideology with divine commands such as this:
    • "Mohammed is Allah's apostle. Those who follow him are harsh to the unbelievers but merciful to one another" - Quran 48:29
    • "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them" Quran 8:12
    • "O you who believe! fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find in you hardness." Quran 9:123

The left will quickly become a joke and irrelevance in this country, if events like these keep happening.

I hope the Leftist Party gets less than 50 seats.

The real issue then is whether the Slightly Less Leftist Party will be sensible enough to pursue a different approach.
What the **** does this have to do with leftism?

IMO we should not let any more refugees in (possible ISIS terrorists) and also investigate faith schools etc. that could be extreme. Jihadi John was brought up here and even in Birmingham there are reports of extremist teachers
I can already tell you're well informed.

I'm pretty sure Parisians won't be reading this thread, so what's the point in sending out pointless prayer messages, really?

It's far more proper to have an intellectual discussion about the causes of this issue, and wonder where things will go from here

I agree the Nazi thing is retarded though
I'm pretty sure that nobody of import is going to be reading this thread, so what's the point in having pseudo-intellectual, hateful and heated debates that will accomplish nothing, really?

They will. The more people speak out- the more collective action is possible.
Note- I did really claim what you've just second in the second half of your post.

Agreed, but it's a fine line between shutting down extremist teachers in a country to make the country safer; to making a religious section of society feel marginalised and distrusted (which could actually encourage a more hateful dynamic)

Leftists let Muslims into Western countries and make excuses for all their crimes against society

Actually, if people like you weren't brainswashed idiots who haven't got the capability to form their own decisions based on real life and not the media could see that not all Muslims follow Islam in the same way, we would not be surrounded by hate.

My opinion on the people who carried out these attacks is a separate matter and my opinion of organised religion is a whole different debate. However, generalising everyone in a group the same is not the way to go.

Remember, stereotypes are for those who cannot form their own opinions. You are an idiot and should probably sort yourself and your pathetic excuse of a life out before you start preaching to others who have the capability to think for themselves.

I'd have much preferred your post without the last paragraph, there's no need to lower yourself down to his level and engage in petty rivalry and insults. But I agree with your two paragraphs, hence my rep. :-)

    Sarcasm?

Not sure if Jihadi John went to an extremist school. Point stands, some Muslim communities are breeding grounds for this sort of thing in the UK and our pussy politicians do **** all

First time since 1945 that France has declared a nationwide state of emergency. Means state can control the press and enter private homes at any time (according to the French Government website) /u/willz1208

France has the largest Muslim population in Europe and is the country that most often suffers Islamic terrorist attacks.

    SHOCKING! :zomg:
Could we stop politicising an ongoing tragedy, please?

Haha, and right-wingers don't? German has let in more refugees during this crisis than any other country and they're led by a right-wing Christian democrat.

Looking at the broad arch of this thread, the collective action seems to be along the lines of "expel all muslims" etc...

Why can our collective action or us speaking be about more positive things such as increasing integration, providing more security, being more tolerant, etc...

The reactions this thread has been eliciting is truly dis-heartening.

Sigh. How can humans take other humans' lives so nonchalantly?
Grow up in a culture where you are told another group as "less worthy" (wrong religion, wrong colour, wrong nation, etc.)

Be told removing those people is improving the state of humanity.

Also, be told you will be rewarded (as a hero, by being put in the history books, by your family being rewarded, in some form of afterlife).

Many of us, in that position, could do it.
