How does everybody intend to open their results? Alone? With mates/parents?... I will be collecting my results in school at around 9.00 am, I will then leave the main hall to a private location in the school grounds and I will open the envelope. I will then cover my grades and slide down slowly opening my least confident grade last...

Side note- will most likely just rip the letter open and see them but meh haha.

Probably stare at the envelope in fear for 5 minutes then open it... I'll try to find a bench somewhere where I can have a relatively private freak out if everything goes to crap...

Anyone who did edexcel politics 3B/4B pls tell me your thoughts and the general consensus bc I really want to try to gauge whether we're feeling higher or lower grade boundaries this year. :emo:
I am desperate to discuss this.
Meee! I am praying for low grade boundaries, i know i did so bad. I did an exam on Conservatism, Socialism, Anarchism and Liberalism and on Nationalism, Feminism, Ecologism and Multiculturalism. How about you?

From the exams i did, i think it will be this for 80 UMS:
    C1: 62/75
    C3: 59/75
    C4: 62/75
    S2: 61/75
Ok thanks, that helps someone said C1 would be 67!

It's weird knowing our results right now are being sorted by the universities and we are being accepted and rejected. Furthermore our fates are held in a database ready to be sent to our schools on Wednesday.

All of that year of work comes down to one piece of paper.....good luck everyone.

I remember it was the day before Oxford sent out the letters for interview outcomes, and UCAS decided it was a marvellous time to send out a load of emails about job/apprenticeship things in Oxford or something ridiculous like that: half the applicants who got the emails spent the rest of that day having heart attacks!
That sounds so bad. Someone needs to have words with them about their emails, seriously. The timing is just not great I guess

I've had about 3 versions of the same email about clearing from them too a while ago like UCAS are you hint dropping at me haha

Hey guys it's me , basically i know you guys are doing A levels, i'm doing GCSE and getting mine on the 25th. I wanted to ask for your opinion on how you guys will feel if this was GCSE results day - what would your thoughts be compared to getting your A level results. I heard there's somewhat of a jump from the two and would appreciate any replies that i get. thnx.

GCSEs have little effect on people unless they're applying to universities which take the GCSE score into account, such as Oxford or UCL.

A level results day is the day we find out if we're going to get into our dream unis onto our chosen courses or if we'll be rejected and have to find something else under pressure. This does actually have an effect on people's lives and will matter in 5 years time, unlike GCSEs, so the stress isn't really comparable to the "stress" I felt a couple years ago for my own GCSE results
