Again capitalist ideas on socialist principles.

They have similarities and as long as we are talking in broad terms.

Socialism hasn't been proven impossible. Capitalism doesn't work.
So are we just ignoring the world as it is today and talking about some utopian land? I have said in your utopian dream world it could work but in the real world it can't.

And yet the only examples lefties can find of socialism "working" rely substantially on capitalism

It can if it is done democratically. Because then it becomes teh will of the people. You create a culture of hard working people who want to better themselves (basically not the Brits) and bobs your uncle you have a good new socialist state.

Europe choosing the politics of fear and not hope isn't a reason to celebrate. Nationalism is stupid and illogical.
When a million third worlders are allowed to enter a country, what do you expect the natives to do.

Which will fail when people realise that in the real world it doesn't work.

And you don't see why this won't work? People will protect themselves and their families first, they always will it is shown throughout nature and what you propose goes against this.

The main issue is that with equality of outcome, theres no incentive for me to go above and beyond. I may get bored and do some work but theres nothing motivating me to do something meaningful with my time. I may as well sit at home smoking my pipe.

I've already touched that but apparently that's just a capitalist belief

No, it's about changing the definition of family in people's minds.

Unless you rip children away at birth and ban inheritance equality of outcome is only fair. People work for respect and to feel good about themselves.

It always makes me laugh when capitalists use the 'nature' argument. In most tribes, they will look after everyone, not just their families.

Also wrt other comments, equality of outcome is a terrible idea (except maybe in a thousand years when we're living in an automated world where nobody has to work). Equality of opportunity is what socialism should be about.

People on the left once again deciding they want to redefine things.

    You want to change nature.
