I think it's just 'an exception is made in certain cases'. Besides, I don't think we can pretend there's a ban anymore.
As Chair, I would have prevented any non-Soc duals from happening. I suppose that may not be the case with the new Chair though.

Then enjoy that night's sleep. Remember all the information is in there somewhere, it's just a matter of unlocking it. You strike me as being quite above-average - so you're starting off with an advantage. Pre-exam nerves get the best of us - it just shows you care, which means you've probably set things in motion in such a way that you'll do well.

Best of luck, and good night.

Cheers Ray, I'll try and get some sleep and end of the day what will be will be I guess (maybe not the best thing to say before a sociology exam but still)

I don't think that's a fair discrimination. In the Aph's political compass analysis from a while back the Greens were, on average, ideologically closer to us than the Socs. Now that's not to say we should start allowing Lab-Green dual-memberships but I'm not sure about this open special treatment.

I realise that, but we do have a much closer relationship with the Socs, and I know them well enough to trust them whereas that's not the case with any of the Greens.

Regardless, it's not the Chair's decision anyway - so whilst I'll quiz whoever the next Chair is on the matter it'll be academic.

I know a lot of the Greens pretty well I think. There are a lot of new Socs who I don't know as well.

But we're starting to veer from the point. We should have a ban, a ban with limited exceptions or no ban - rather than a ban based on party. QQ will struggle to reasonably reject another request from a member to gain dual membership to another party.

Getting up at whenever to write a speech for a debate on the EU at my school (dragging me in during the summer pftt ) tomorrow afternoon. Currently alternating between TSR and reading 'Small Gods' by Terry Pratchett.

I might treat myself to Uncharted 4 after exams. As for reading, I have to finish Agent Dmitri and then after that I'll probably go back to Philip Kerr, The Lady of Zagreb.

My PS4 is on the fritz! It's so frustrating because I've been waiting for U4 for years. U3 and TLoU are my favourite games without a doubt.

My reading list is getting out of hand tbh. I plan to read Picketty's 'Capital in the 21st Century' over the summer.

U2 was my favourite, and I actually sit in the TLoU is overrated camp. I finished Witcher last month, my new fave. Other games up there for me would be AC2, Heavy Rain, Fallout 3 and Arkham Knight.

Very disappointed that fracking in the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside has been given the go-ahead by the local largely Tory council.

So the blob returns with the former chair unable to keep his socialist views in check sufficiently to stay in one party.

This dual membership talk sickens me good sirs.

The 'blob' is not returning, the fact is that I'm looking at defecting but want to make sure it's absolutely the right thing for me to do. The level of co-operation between the two is not going to increase.
