# Official OCR A2 G484 June 2016 [Module 1] [90UMS] watch

1. (Original post by ComputerMaths97)
He does them for all exams so may take a while. Plus his G484 one last year came at 15:45 (yeah I just checked loool) so go and get some other revising done and come back xD
Haha I knew that as well xD. Yeah to be honest I'm not too worried about C3 tomorrow, I got a high ums last year and did well in S1 this year (I think). I calculated I need around 66ums average across C3 and C4 to get an A overall in Maths, which I will be satisfied with.
Was aiming for an A* in Maths but considering that there is such a huge risk that the exams will be impossibly hard, one question wrong and I flop and miss the A*, it's not worth it.
2. anyone got a rough idea of the questions with marks? just want to see how many I've lost.. thanks
3. Can someone please tell me the correct value for the mass of S2?
4. Dw, i have an offer from cambridge and i legit f***** this paper up so hard. Probs gunna get an A in the end haah.
teachercol are you still making mark scheme for this??
love ya
- probably tomorrow. I'm teaching all aft and out this eve.
Done the paper.

In which case it's looking like a torturous 24hrs wait for me then.

Two marks for why areas of triangles are not equal

One mark for speed of impact with ground

Two marks for Speed at D

One mark for height of first bounce

One mark for Newtons First law

2 marks for why forces on Newtons 3rd law are same

2 marks for why forces on Newtons 3rd law are different

3 Marks for firemans hose question

2 Marks for KE EPE Graph

2 Marks for Max speed

2 marks for time period

1 mark for newtons gravitational law with symbols

1 mark for centripetal force with symbols

2 marks for the r1 r2 m1 m2 ratio equation

4 marks for the SHC of lead balls

2 marks for how internal energy is effected by temperature

2 marks for assumptions of tube flipping experiment

2 marks for how temp change if mass is doubled

3 marks for radius of 21 and s2

3 marks? for mass of s2

2 marks for volume of partially inflated balloon

2 marks for gravitational field strength above surface of mars

2 marks for mass of mars

One mark for stating keplers third law

One mark for how you would expect speed of mars's moon to change if it got closer to mars

That comes to 52 marks, I can't remember the rest, sorry.
8. Proper annoys me how there's a majority of people here who struggled or found it hard and who want to discuss marks and grade boundaries etc and every so often some smug **** comes along and goes 'lol what are you guys on about I found it really easy ha ha' and then just leaves with a big smug grin on their face after alienating people who actually struggle

No worries mate thanks! Did you have say that internal energy is directly proportional? or is it enough to say as temp increases IE increases?

I said that if Temp increases, KE increases, and PE slightly increases as work is done pulling molecules apart, and I also said that E =3/2 KT So E is proportional to T

Are u retarded last years exam was much easier and was 43 for an a u spaz
Right.. cheers for that mature response. I think this was harder too but it won't make the boundaries drop massively. Also there were a lot more maths questions therefore there's more chance of people getting higher marks as opposed to last years where there were more wordy questions, which are generally harder to answer

14. Loool how have I only just realised the inneundos from "The fireman's hose question" LMAOOOO

Yh basically point c is the common centre of mass. so all the weight appears to act from there, hence why the planets orbit around that point. So consider at point C there is a large star of mass ( m1+m2) and then you use keplars law and centripetal force to work out m2(s2)
Is that right? I cant see how the mass of s2 exerts any force on S2. It just changes the radius of the orbit.

There was also 1 mark for letters question, and 2 for the one below that, and 3 for the one below that (just before the radius ratio question)

TeacherCol, could you put my mind at ease for the Mass of S2?
I used keplers third law and rearranged to make M the subject
(4pi^2*(3.6*10^12)^3)/((6.67*10^-11)*(86400*365*4)^2)= 1.73*10^33
Otherwise rip

Dear god pleas be right.
I think I got that too!!

Well I think it's fair that A* at 46. I would say cap is 52. Mathematical papers suit maths students. There are also papers that go against maths students (wordy crap), so this evens out. I found the paper very straight forward.
You don't have to lie to make your **** look bigger. You have most likely got every calculation wrong and is right now in shell shock, it's ok but I'll guide you to your DDU triple Alevel combo you brain drama student.
