Got an AS level but bombed my essay so only ended up with a C, but my speaking and listening were virtually full marks - so I need to work a lot more on reading and writing. I have to do extra language modules whilst at the uni so I learn the "technical" language.
Oh awesome! What are you gonna be doin?

You have this all planned out
Apply to University, Travel around Europe with Friends, Volunteer abroad at Bangladesh, and work either as a HCA or Phlebotomist. It's either that or McDonald's

Ah, I wouldn't be interested in Italian unification as I would find it hard to relate to. I wish at A level, students would get the choice to study what period of History they wish i.e Unit exams and that would motivate students more and you could specialise teachers for certain periods of History etc. It seems as a better way to get higher results.

Is your coursework about the French Revolution as it sounds way more interesting than the topic I've been stuck with -> Britain and its African Empire. Wow your so lucky you have until February half-term, I have until tomorrow to hand in the coursework and from Jan-April we are studying the next unit.

Nice, Congratz ! I heard Edinburgh and St Andrews to be very good Universities. They're too far out for me. I've been interested in Physics but it wasn't until AS that I decided I wanted to study it at University. I know Physics is considered one of the hardest subjects as is very maths orientated but it takes time getting used to. I'm studying M1 as-well hopefully it should build up my Physics skills up to speed.

I've applied to QMUL, QUB, Exeter and Kent. I've heard back from QUB, Exeter & Kent and are just waiting for QMUL. I'm planning to study at Exeter as my firm and QMUL/QUB as my insurance. wbu? @firm/insurance choices?

Italian Unification was actually really interesting. I think I preferred Britain since 1951 though because like my dad had lived through some of that so it was cool to get another view point on a lot of the stuff that happened. The choice would be cool, but tbh I would have probably chosen most of the stuff we studied anyway (maybe minus Napoleon) because modern history is really where my interests lie.

It's more so after the revolution. The source analysis one is mainly about how Napoleon ruled and then the other piece is about his downfall. Our school gives us ages because most people tend not to do anything in lessons. Like today we had a lesson that just descended into a lot of us talking about firing people at work.

Thanks! Where are you from? I'm from Newcastle so all my unis are fairly close. I was the same with history tbh. I didn't know I wanted to study it until it got to A level and I realised how interesting it was. I don't find M1 too bad but it's just a lot of people in my maths do physics so I feel like I'm lagging because they all already know everything.

Nice choices! I almost applied to Exeter until I realised I would have been applying for the wrong reasons. QMUL was like my sixth choice as well. Out of the ones I have offers from, York is probably going to be my firm with Glasgow as insurance. However, I'm really hoping for either Edinburgh or St Andrews because those two are my favourite unis that I've applied for so I'm hoping for an offer from one or both.

Being tall is not good anyway, only useful in basketball or reaching the top shelves. I get back and neck pains all the time.

Worst bit is sticking to 100% healthy diet. Do you get lower back pains?

Yeah lower back pains are so annoying. I tore some muscles there last year too playing football and couldn't walk for a few days and had pain for weeks, haven't played football since:lol: I'm too scared.

I get those pains too it sucks. I think If I carried on playing serious football at age 12 I could have made it professionally. Now it's just for fun with friends.

I'm terrible:lol:. I'm okay at all sports but don't particularly shine in any. I'd say I'm pretty good at badminton but haven't played it for ages.
