 my friend is quite good at predicting... We don't bet though :ninja: (ie.me taking his predictions and betting with them)

Once I betted some money on a score... And had it gone through I'd have been in the moneys!!!! (it wasn't authorised -.-)
I don't ask to bet often. It's more to test whether my instincts (which I derive much of my investment decisions from) based on fundamentals, research, potential etc. are accurate. The actual money involved just makes me take it more seriously.

It's certainly not too shabby for spending money. I'm probably going to pile it into my investment portfolio though.

But then I'd be a Hedge Fund/Fund manager. :unimpressed: I prefer using the firm I'm working for/my own money as I'd be concentrating more in getting high returns...

If you don't pay for your electricity bills, why not mine some bitcoins using your computer? They're highly volatile (so what could be worth £100 in bitcoins may become £150 the next day), are transferable into real currencies and could be a nice stable income with enough computational power. :mmm:

Then again, you'd need a multi-thousand pound desktop to mine anywhere near enough to make it worthwhile.

    Check this out

    http://bitcoincharts.com/charts/mtgo...zm1g10zm2g25zv

The volatility in the price of Bitcoins is absolutely mad, but could prove very profitable for its miners if you manage to sell at the right time.

Personally, I'm waiting for a Bitcoin ETF to spring up as a play on its volatility. With the right algorithms, this might be the biggest profit-making investment of the century! :woo:

    Bitcoins or ETFs?

    Bitcoins

    ETFs

If you want a relatively risk free investment, invest in UK Gilts. I hear they offer a fantastic yield that beats inflation by miles.

Your savings being eroded in value, not mine.

I was about to say! If Shadab was stressed over exams, then what's going to help us?

    Haha, true true :mmm:

 it's bad how much I've lost in "giving a ****" over exams :/ I've given up with them, so whatever happens shall happen.

I know I can do well at a level GCSEs are pointless... And not having like 10 A*s won't stop uni applications. I'll have at least 7 which isn't something I'd be happy with, but shall do

:console: I should really pay more attention to my exams but my attention has drifted more towards maintaining my recent performance. I think I'll do well at A-Level, but it's probably time I shifted to something which doesn't require so much active management.

 you can get rich and live comfortably without an education anyway so you're fine.

If I didn't have an education, I'd probably go into designing products tbh
