Can you send me the link, assuming it's still alive.

    For securities sake
The link is dead now but I clicked on it as soon as it went up so I have the whole list fully loaded. I'm not doing anything with it, but since i know I'm one of the few people with access I haven't closed the tab yet. I think I will screenshot but Blur out in a mo and then close it.

Why would anon discredit himself by releasing people's credit card numbers?

Kinda guessed they would be fake considering no-one is hacking and it's all DDOS.
No guarantee of that. I think that there probably a few on 4chan who can hack, could be bluffing just to cause chaos.

"11.15pm: Take any stories about hacked "lists" of credit card numbers with a large pinch of salt: they are almost certainly rubbish based on a quick analysis of the purported numbers circulating."

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/news/blog/...s-live-updates
The only numbers displayed were the numbers and validity dates, not enough info really for a hack. It was removed within 2 mins by both twitter and the host website.

An internet group called anonymous is taking 'revenge' on mastercard and Visa for suspending donations to wikileaks. First, they crashed mastercards and visas sites, now they claim to have hacked thousands of credit card numbers.

Was his account suspended pending an investigation? I am wondering the legality of this ...

WTF! really? how's that going to help wikileaks?!

Doing this criminal attacks will just add more salt to the wound, now that Julian Assange is arrested.

Yes. I have no idea about the law in this aspect.

The numbers were fake, it was all to get people to freeze their Mastercard accounts, etc. Seems to have worked somewhat, lol.

    Releasing numbers achieves nothing.
Faking about it and deterring people from the company in the most lawful way possible is more beneficial.
Good point. But I think MasterCard are suspiciously quick to deny it. It is probably an exercise in chaos.

They probably believe that it'll scare other companies into not backing out from Wikileaks, thereby keeping it afloat.

I know his account was suspended, but I was curious as to the legality (i.e. why). It seems for the allegations of sexual assault.

Well, they are 'investigating wikileaks' and waiting to see if it is a legal organisation i.e. if they get convicted under the espionage act. I also think the US gov. must have pressured them like they did with amazon.

the accusation laid against Julian Assange by the Swedish authority sounds like a fabrication, if you ask me.

From the Guardian's coverage of Julian Assange's arrest

4.14pm: Charles Arthur, the Guardian's technology editor, points out that while MasterCard and Visa have cut WikiLeaks off you can still use those cards to donate to overtly racist organisations such as the Knights Party, which is supported by the Ku Klux Klan.

The Ku Klux Klan website directs users to a site called Christian Concepts. It takes Visa and MasterCard donations for users willing to state that they are "white and not of racially mixed descent. I am not married to a non-white. I do not date non-whites nor do I have non-white dependents. I believe in the ideals of western Christian civilisation and profess my belief in Jesus Christ as the son of God."
Proof of how politically charged this all is, and the hypocritical nature of the powers-that-be.

edit: Just wanted to take the opportunity to say that the KKK (whilst professing to hold Christian ideals) is the exact contradiction of our beliefs.

Also, if you want a quick, sardonic laugh:

The United States is pleased to announce that it will host Unesco's World Press Freedom Day event in 2011, from 1-3 May in Washington, DC.

The theme for next year's commemoration will be 21st Century Media: New Frontiers, New Barriers. The United States places technology and innovation at the forefront of its diplomatic and development efforts. New media has empowered citizens around the world to report on their circumstances, express opinions on world events, and exchange information in environments sometimes hostile to such exercises of individuals' right to freedom of expression. At the same time, we are concerned about the determination of some governments to censor and silence individuals, and to restrict the free flow of information. We mark events such as World Press Freedom Day in the context of our enduring commitment to support and expand press freedom and the free flow of information in this digital age.

All of this remind me somewhat of The Millenium Trilogy by Stieg Larsson because of the hackers, conspiracy-fabrication, secrets being released, etc.

Well tbh, publishing things that could endanger lives is shocking, giving out information on US army bases is retarded."oh americas so evil NWO US troops massacre everyone.Oh Iraq was a illigitamate war.Oh the police searched me today under counter terrorism" well it's a bad world And we are all very lucky to be in bed with the yanks. The Nato armies and indeed British and US intelligence networks keep us safe.Trying to pick flaws out of things the Security services have done is unreasonable. Why would they go through all the trouble to lock front door when idiots are opening the back.Ooooooh they're torturing people in guantanamo.Um have you ever seen the middle east.Camp x-ray is Disney land.Oh I don't mind the expenses thing ***** as much as you want.oh jackie smiths husband what a legend.
