So early October is a good time to send the applications in?
I don't know if it's a good time, but it is the time I chose.
Gave myself the deadline of october 10.

Did you get an internship/insight week?

Is late September an OK time to send applications off with a decent chance? I feel like I should go into it with more knowledge. Going to Imperial (Maths + CompSci), have maths awards, music ensembles + competitions, programming experience, academic achievements, insight days.

September is still very early. There will be an initial focus on Summer and full time recruiting.

I think any time before late October is still fairly early.

I did join a finance/business related club during the penultimate year of high school, I was wondering is this experience still relevant? Considering that it happened 3 years ago...

Has anyone managed to find the JPM Spring Week application yet? I've found the page, but not a direct link to an actual application

Hey, I'll be doing UCL Econ this september as well. Give me a pm!
Regarding the SW application, I think grades, even though yours are good, is not sufficient in a good Spring Week application. But hell, you're at a target so play it all in all, find stuff you did that you can put on a cv (as long as it is recent and decent). The swimming competition is a good example.
His grades are more than enough to land him a SW, alongside the fact he'll be studying at UCL.

Check the message I posted following the one you answered. That's what I meant.

Wondering if I'm the only one who is waiting until university starts before sending anything off

Starting uni and applying later on will not make my application any better. Also, when uni starts I will be socialising, going out and studying. I'll have less time on my hands. That's just me though.

Sure, that's fair enough. If I was in your position I'd be doing the same - I'm just holding out to see if I'll be able to make any developments in the 3-4 weeks I'm there before I'm having to send apps off haha. The fact my freshers is two weeks as well doesn't make it any easier

Does anyone know if advice/support is provided at uni for SW applications?
(Specifically UCL Econ as that's where I'm going).

I'm just wondering if holding off starting anything until I start at uni will help me or not.
