7th December. My current comfort is the theory that they're going backwards through the dates! Anyone got an offer who had an interview in December?
Maybe! But I guess no news is good news so don't worry and at the interview they did say they give out offers in batches and it could be well into march by the time all the offers are given out! So good luck!

    Hi everyone
I've applied for SLT at City university and Reading. I just wondered if anyone had been on an interview/selection day and if so was there a maths test? It's not my strong point, so any advice will be appreciated. Thanks
I did a selection day at city and there's no test just 4 mini interviews

Send a quick email to the admissions team to check they have your application? I've just done this with City as I haven't heard anything from them.

Also do check your junk mail like someone else has said. I only realised I had an interview invitation from DMU because I was clearing out my emails!!
I will do actually! Thank you! I've been checking my junk mails but for some reason I think it deleted anything in my junk mail older than two weeks old so just hoping it hasn't deleted it! Might ring them up instead.

The interview at MMU was really nice, it's one normal interview where they ask you questions, they can be quite difficult but for some reason the answers seemed to psychically flow from me, (maybe because I'd just gone through 3 other interviews, idk)... and then also a written test, which I'm not sure what is judged on it.
The health building is quite hard to find though in my opinion, it's a walk from the main campus and I had to ask for a map, some people didn't show up and I was wondering if they just couldn't find the building.
The only trouble is it's the highest grade requirements for access course, this is why I'm hoping for one other offer.

Oh cool. My A-levels are Biology, Maths and Chemistry. When was your interview and how soon after was your offer?
everyone who Sheffield likes seems to be doing sciences and maths at A level, did you ever consider other career paths being good at those things. I know if I was mathematically better I'd try engineering.
I only wondered because I just thought basic A levels for speech therapy people would be something like: English language, a science like Biology and then maybe something like Psychology, never expected intense maths and sciences.

Different to A-Levels really, but I'm doing an access course and my only science is biology. the other subjects are psychology and sociology and got a Sheffield offer. So I don't think its definitely anything to do with that - but then they may look at access courses differently! 30 of my 45 graded credits are in biology tho so I guess that's quite a bit of science.

I actually had trouble choosing my A-levels as I enjoyed most subjects. In the end I was told to choose sciences as I could and they would facilitate lots of degrees. However, in terms of degrees I struggled. I didn't want to do pure science like maths, biomedical science etc. as I didn't want to work in an office or lab. As for engineering, my grandfather was an engineer but it's just not for me as I want to work with children (I hope to specialise in paediatrics) and am not a huge fan of physics, metal, fixing things (you get the gist!). I don't even like glue! Also, I'm too squeamish for medicine although it is really interesting in theory. This seemed the perfect mix of science, medicine, psychology and people. I do love maths though and will miss it!

I'm doing the same I emailed them first to see if they accepted it, my interview will have made their decision.
At the end when they asked if I had any questions about the course I was just thinking to myself....it's all on the internet and prospectus, there's nothing to ask that wouldn't be on there. Plus all the basic, good questions had already been asked at the opening bit.......I still cannot understand what type of questions you can really come up with or whether they judge on whether the applicant asked questions about the course.
