Yeah, Oasis, Airhead, Blur, some of the Cure's stuff, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Foo Fighters... I could go on
Ahh, i like some of green day's music, I only really know the common/popular ones though
Oooh I see I like Oasis and Blur.... and The Cure are quite good also (I think my dad has nearly all of their albums ) Haha
Same tbh, I used to like Welcome to Paradise, Basket Case and St.Jimmy

Not sure if it's cheesy per se, but I love this one despite not understanding most of the words.
    First single I ever bought!

"Do they know its' Christmas" has got to score high on the cheesy list. Followed by "Just Say No" which was a truly ghastly production performed by the then cast of Grange Hill.

Hang on, I've thought of two that are even worse....!

    Joe Dolce "Shadap Your Face"
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFacWGBJ_cs

    and
    Jona Lewis "Stop the Cavalry"
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGsCLS-uHao

Now I think about it, the 1980's produced some absolute humdingers. You had to be there I guess!

The Cure are up there with the Smiths for my all time favourite 80s artists
And Blur- they really dominated the britpop era, along with Oasis, haha the old Blur VS Oasis debate still causes arguents in my family :giggle::gigg:

Afternoon!! Thought I'd try and make a more 'successful' thread (seeing as the other one pretty much died)
Just wondering what everyone's favourite cheesy 80s song is (well doesn't have to be cheesy - like 80s pop?!)

    I think I would have to go either;

Depeche Mode - Just Can't Get Enough
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bhg8D8MVYxQ

    or

Wham! - Young Guns (Go For It!)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xNX3xA3wx5c

I shall tag some of you to get the thread going

or The Undertones - Teenage Kicks, but I think that was 1978
