It's a soc...tis meant to be chatty lol!

And yay that's great news. Super happy for you!

Cheers. Probably going to be some more exciting news in about a month :ninja:

I'll probably watch the spin-off, but I've always thought that Doctor Who was aimed at young adults, with SJA (which were poor) being for the kids and Torchwood (hit and miss) for the adults. It'll probably go the same way as those two, although the billing for it sounds quite promising.

Oh! I can't believe it's not been discussed! How do people feel about the spinoff that's been announced?

(I guess going by the usual rules anything about the content/cast etc needs to be in spoilers, but general discussion is fine?)

I'm a bit unsure about it, but will definitely watch it and see

I really want there to be a spin-off with the Paternoster Gang though :moon:

While most of the episode was very meh; I liked that bit towards the end - shows the darker side, but also his compassion and how much he hates losing people. I'm looking forward to figuring out who the young lass is/becomes.

Probably the best episode of the series so far imo. Though mainly for the reveal of the reason Capaldi's face has been in it before.

While I get annoyed that I've got to wait a week before I finish the episode; it gives the story time to develop

Seriously? Does no one think the poorish rating so far might be due to it competing with Englands RWC games thus far?
They're scared for nothing I say.

Just watched before the flood. That was a great episode.

Starting to pick up some motifs for the series as well.

I thought Maisie Williams came across really well in that; I thought I was going to find her annoying but I didn't!

Also I loved the Doctor's exaggerated thumbs up to Clara, I'm going to do that to my mum all the time now.

For the first two two part episodes the second episode has been infinitely better

I'll reserve judgement until next weekend and the second part, but that felt like it'd have been fine as a stand alone episode...

I do like there being consequences for the whole cheating death thing this time, not just the whole bring them back, nothing really happened deal.

I think (/am hoping) that they'll be two standalone episodes that are linked. That's how it felt to me.

Also loving that we had an explanation for him having Caecilius' face!
