    Thoughts?
I wonder why the family member of the patient is pushing for this,
Is she making the decision over her life because of what "she thinks would be best" or another reason, e.g. the patient talking about choosing death in a situation like this before the illness, i know my dad says quite clearly that is what he'd want the "plug pulled".

    I suddenly love you man.
So ashamed i still haven't played MGS4  isn't there a game due for xbox 360?
Yeah, some sort of action game spin off. Haven't followed it much tbh, saw the trailer from last years E3 and my excitment was killed when I saw it wasn't a "proper" MGS.

Is there any chance she will be able to communicate?
Difficult and my concern is cui bono but I can see the justification.

Finally got around to completing MGS2. Excellent game, the ending was a bit, eh? though. Does anybody know if there are any books around based in the universe? I've completed Peace walker, MGS1, MGS2 and MGS3. Whenever I look at wiki pages to explain things there always seems to be loads of information that has not come from these games. I don't include portable ops because it wasn't cannon.

Now, to try to "attain" a PS3 and complete the fourth one before the end of the summer...
I'm fairly sure there are graphic novels. I have the MGS1 one, hopefully there are more.

Did you read the "book" about the events at Shadow Moses on the MGS2 disk?

I was about to until I noticed it was 120 pages odd. Didn't want to read that much on the TV. I might track it down online and read it off my comp in a .pdf or something. I assumed it would only tell me what I already knew about Shadow Moses though? I figured it was there for people who hadn't completed the first game.

Kinda tempted to download an emulator and play the first two Metal Gears on my psp on the plane home

Never played a MGS game (never owned a PS), feel like I've missed out though. Closest I've got I guess is Splinter Cell (which is awesome btw).

"The problem is forgetting. Doctors forget their training. I hear it all the time. They constantly have to re-read about diseases. By Super nurses I do mean generic supernurses yes. My argument is that there performance would be no worse than doctors and no I don't believe they would need to have a lengthy time for medical training. They should specialise in referrals from the second year.

GPs, understanding of psychiatry is very variable and often no better than the layman (they simply read off a generic sheet about classic signs and symptoms).

Regarding the old woman. You would treat the urinary tract infection, and consider psychological / neurological intervention. (GP had earlier commented their morning clinic had included amongst other things a 93yr old woman with dizzy spells, memory problems and a UTI)."
The commenter neuron really needs to change his name to moron.

I have wasted loads of time reading stupid comments and should probably stop but it's addictive! It's scary how many clueless people think they know everything. Thanks for posting the link.

I never got on with MGS, although some games can pull off the endless cutscenes.. the Final Fantasy games (especially 7 through 10) were excellent. I think the superior soundtrack of the FFs made a big difference.

Whilst I'm not much of a gamer anymore, the games that really do it for me are racing games... can't wait for my flatmate to bring his 360 and forza.. :borat:

I was never a massive fan of splinter cell until I played Double Agent. Loved that game, completed it a couple of times. I have conviction downloaded on my PC but haven't got around to installing it. It just looks like an action game :\

I hadn't played MGS until last summer when Peace Walker came out for the PSP. I always meant to and now I had a reason. I put MGS1 on my PSP and completed that, then put like 60+ hours into Peace Walker (One of the best games on PSP by far). Bought MGS3 for the Villa PS2 and completed that (Much to my girlfriends annoyance). Then this year I picked up MGS2 for $3 and completed that here.

You could play 1&2 on your PC. 2 was brought out on PC through subtance and you can easily emulate 1. Why have you never owned a PS1 though :O?

Just completed conviction myself, whilst it was a bit more action based than previous games I still thoroughly enjoyed it, lots of neat touches and less linear.

Will probably do that when I'm out in placement next term and only have my laptop with me as I ain't lugging my xbox to hospital digs, have always meant to try them out.

As for the ps thing, I've always had sega and Nintendo consoles up until the xbox, would never go to the dark side

Am I also being referred to in these plurals?
I assume that's why your post was deleted, although not long before full legitimacy for you I guess.
