This analysis shows how exciting the game was. The analysis is all about the time between the award of the penalty and the penalty being taken

Penalty incident aside, it was a good game imo. Fantastic defending, Yacob & Lescott were on it tonight.

Whichever team Martinez is in charge of, they never seem to start playing until towards the end of the season, just look what happened at Wigan.

Martinez may as well be a random team generator for all I'm concerned. Rom isn't doing the business for me, and as much as I love Kev, I can only say that at this point in time, I want him out with Martinez.

Honestly you're a mid table club with mid table players, albeit should be higher up the table but you were never going to challenge for top 4 with the team you had and extra europa league fixtures.

Everton's ambitions like with Newcastle back in 2012 should be to get as far as possible in europa league(quarters or semis probably) and consolidate a midtable position.

Essentially you have very high expectations.

If Martinez has any sense he'd prioritise the Europa League, the club really needs a trophy and it's their most realistic hope of qualifying for the Champions League. Unfortunately for him, Liverpool and Spurs are in the exact same situation.

Precisely. Although they could realistically keep players(bar Coleman to United possibly), I don't think the profile of clubs who needs their players are good enough for the players to see it as a stepping stone. Rest of the players are too old to be bought by a club stronger than Everton.

Lukaku hasn't done enough this season to secure a dream move to Bayern e.g. and the likes of Dortmund are too **** at this moment in time to really say they're in a better position than Everton, sale of Reus could be used on Lukaku though. Atlético a possibility but then his lack of work rate means Simeone won't want him and I don't think he fancies City's bench.

Essentially nobody actually needs your players or is willing to pay a premium for them, so if you don't make europa this year you're safe.

Mirallas is wanted by Spurs. Reckon he'll go? Would you like him to?

Our best player, to a team who we compete directly with most seasons? No thanks. Keep him unless someone comes in with £25m for him

Eto'o to Sampdoria. Not sure why it didn't work out for him at Goodison.

Kept getting played in the number 10 role. One of the best strikers, ever, getting played out of position. Although, 3 goals in 8 starts isn't bad.

Everton to go on a good run now in the second half of the season, always seems to happen wherever Martinez goes, his teams don't start playing till like March.

Tottenham to offer money + Lennon for Mirallas apparently, too.
