I have never been here for a TSR election - this is my first.

Does everyone on TSR have the oppurtunity to vote and if so, do they tend to vote based on our RL counterparts or based on what the actual TSR Party's Manifesto says?

You never know what'll happen. There is no point in trying to second-guess the electorate, especially whilst using PR. It'll be what it'll be.
Exactly.

A mixture of both. It depends on the election really.

Elections are fun, and tense! I think you'll enjoy it.

Pretty much every TSR member can vote. There are some precautions that are taken to try avoid votes from dupe accounts. And technically speaking, votes should be based on our TSR manifestos, though it is unavoidable that some people will vote based on our RL counterparts. To what extent that happens is difficult to say.

I know, I just really wanted to say something whist imagining myself as a Bond villain and that did it.

Before this term the elections had produced Labour and the Tories as the top two for eons and eons - I think back to the days the Lib Dems used to win on an anti-fees platform circa 2009. Real life is a big influence hence the Green victory being such a shock.

The Green's do have a massive student following though. Of course, still a shock though.

Aye, I can't believe that that's more than a year ago now! It was a good bill, though. And thank you, you're a star. :hugs:
I know! Time flies :moon: Aww, no worries :hugs:

Indeed, that undoubtedly had a lot to do with it in tandem with their increased real-life profile and no doubt a lot of hard work on here too.

The very one you have a problem with - of judging a politician by their origins and not their ability and policies.
...and I was pointing out that by making the point that Miliband went to a comprehensive, you are paying homage to this...

Maybe, and maybe Natalie Bennett's inability to get a point across will destroy you lot. At least the Green defectors will reinvigorate the Socialist Party - every cloud has a silver lining eh.

About 150 people will vote based on what actually happens here and so this will be reflective of perception in the House (it basically acts like a by-election where we have no mass PM - Tories tend to do much better but the Socialists and Liberals have won seats before) but then everybody else will be largely a small number of people who vote on the manifesto's and those who vote according to RL.

The higher the turnout, the worse the Tories do.

When someone makes an assertion that's wrong in both premise and conclusion its only right to point it out. I pointed out the former and you pointed out the latter. If you really care about the fallacy, bring it up with your party member.

Fingers crossed for a massive turnout then

In all seriousness though, it'll be interesting. I'm looking forward to it.

If they lose faith the Socialist Party is the natural place for them.

Aye, that is why I said if but it is accurate. And the libs would take one from UKIP and the socialists might get 3; 2 being lab, 1 being green.
