For the 6 marker I wrote about GIST, Equal Opportunity Act, then I couldn't think of WIST at the time. So I wrote about how female teachers come in to schools and present science technology etc to girls. And then about Education Reform Act, is one of them right or not? I had no idea haha

Liked the methods in context 20 marker but ran out of time for the first 20 marker so I didn't go into as much depth as I'd have liked. The 10 marker was okay but I wasted too much time on it

I didn't like the 10 marker.I had to sit for a while to come up with something plausible because the question was so vague. I ended up writing about the Marxists perspective on education and the two roles it performs :/

Does anyone know what you need to get a C or a B overall on the education paper?

Loved the 20 marker on social class i predicted that yesterday so so so happy with that and wrote quite a lot on the so maybe spent too long on that!!

Are you supposed to evaluate for the 10 marker because i did and i don't know if it was a waste of time? the methods in context i ran out of time on put think i got at least two L3 points how many marks would that get if i also included like 2 L2 and 1 L1?

    How did you find it?
I think it was a really good paper, I liked the essays however ran out of time and for the family diversity essay I only wrote about functionalist, new right and then contrasted with postmodernist views. Didn't get to write about any family patters wby??

Honestly I didn't know how to define compensatory education so i'll probably only got a mark for that
The second question about markisation I wrote about league tables creating inequality
The third question I put policies like equal pay act sex discrimination act and equal opportunity within schools
The forth one the 10 marker I put ... cant remember actually lol
    Don't know if they're right.

They decide the boundaries for grades when they have the final marks for everyone because if overall everyone does really bad the boundaries are lower etc. But apparently for new specification subjects grade boundaries are lower as there are less resources ie past papers and teachers don't know how to teach the spec yet x

I wasn't sure if we were allowed to use laws for the 6 marker, as the question said policies, so I put:

    - Equal opportunities policies (WISE)
    - Introduction of coursework
    - Introduction of league tables (girls more attractive to good schools)

It was okay. I thought the 10 marker was a bit vague but it was about the functions of the education system so I wrote about the functionalist views such as Durkheim = social solidarity and Davis and Moore = role allocation etc.

Outline and explain 2 ways in which the functions of the education system affects pupils educational achievement (10m)
