He's not going to the World Cup either so there isn't really an excuse not to get this done asap.
    But Wenger is though

Vela, Walcott, AOC and Ramsey for wing depth would be ridiculous.

UTD are gonna go beast mode then fall out after a year. It's ago Van Gaal is, he has a history of turning up to clubs and instantly winning trophies. You heard it here

Monaco are quite interesting really I think they'll do quite well next year and even better in a few

Really doubt it. Highly inexperienced and have penchant for dropping points against teams they should deal with easily.

First season back in ligue 1. Pretty much bought a brand new team.

I see them either getting to the round of 16 to get knocked out by a big boy or to come 3rd and win Europa.

No, we are still ahead of Porto in the rankings to if Utd did qualify, it would be they who fell out and not us.

It will take City another 2 years at least to catch up btw, more worried about BVB. Also Benfica/Atletico are catchable with a reasonable CL run this year.

Anyway, with our habit of messing up the group stage or getting the group of death, it wouldnt make much difference to be in pot 2 anyway

We should just do it on day 1 of the window. No scouting needs to be done, no haggling over the price. Should have about 48 hours.

Even if Vela does flop, we can just flog him next summer and be quids in, never seen a transfer asking to be done so badly.

Aren't they the new rich club of france? Was talking in general like league wise too, not CL specific.

    If they lose Falcao however...

It won't even take long that's what takes the piss.

Even if Vela flops you still make a profit on him. That's what makes this situation so jokes.

even if we did, im pretty sure we would have sold all of them anyway during the transition years.

can you imagine Arsene saying no to 80 million
He wouldn't be that stupid at that time when we were under serious financial constraints.

For a 29 year old it was a pretty substantial offer.

Mundo Deportivo: Arsenal don't want Vela but want 12m to remove clause. Soc. are willing to offer Griezman for 18m. Report says President of Soc was in London to ask to remove clause, arsenal not interested In Vela. But they hold all power.

Wouldnt be the end of days at all to do it this way either.

Doubt we'd pay 18m for Greizman tbh, probs just gonna take the cash and bank it. Disappointing really but means more kitty for the summer I guess.

I've never seen Griezmann play, is he all that?

imo we're better off getting Vela on the cheap and trying for Alexis or Pedro

So basically £6m for Griezman then? I wonder what Wenger see in him over Vela, Griezman is younger and 'might try harder in order to impress for France' maybe? Or Wenger just prefer French players.
