Why is Ed letting it go on rather than just tendering his resignation sooner rather than later?
I am loving all this complaint though on social media, and I imagine other media, about the voting system given the two seats for getting on for 5m votes and 56 seats for a few million. People really do have short memories.

Maybe he hasn't finished writing his resignation speech.

I think it's more disgraceful that the Scottish Labour Leader isn't leaving.

Miliband resigned.

The former Leader of The Opposition said he's congratulated Supreme Leader Dave already.

Finally done it now

Yeah, Murphy should be going too, to be fair, Labour could probably do with doing the same as the Lib Dems and spend at least the next 5 years, more likely 10 (obvioulsy assuming FTPA remains) to redefine themselves, at least in terms of leadership.

I also can't at him saying Scottish Labour was the most progressive force in Scotland ever or something like that.

Spent have the night with a bottle of port waiting to crack it open to celebrate, and a bottle of strong rum just in case the exit polls were horribly wrong. Thankfully I won't be necking that rum

What an election to live through eh? Very exciting, huge shy tory vote.

My question is when does Prof John Curtice become PM?

We all were. Was completely gobsmacked by that Lib Dem figure, and didn't expect Labour to do quite that badly, and ofc they've slipped a bit fuirther

A couple of percent
But also, is it a case of shy Tory or people changing their mind when they have that piece of paper in front of them?

Seems to stem from a lot of lib dem votes moving right as well as the shy Tory effect. Presumably they liked the status quo.

Leadership battles for UKIP, Labour, Lib Dems, (greens?) This year just got very interesting...

What an election, capped off with the perfect result. Means I can now stay in the UK and not look to move abroad. I've not always been the biggest fan of Cameron - to me he comes across too posh and out of touch - but fair play to him. Excellent result!

Edwina Currie suggested that postal votes were indicating a Tory majority and that's why Ed rushed off to Brand to try and get his name out there again. Wonder if that's true or not
